Artist: Quicksilver Messenger Service
Album: What About Me
Year: 1970
Label: Capitol
Writer(s): Jesse Oris Farrow

Lyrics:

You poisoned my sweet water.
You cut down my green trees.
The food you fed my children
Was the cause of their disease.

My world is slowly fallin' down
And the airs not good to breathe.
And those of us who care enough,
We have to do something.......

(Chorus)
Oh.......oh What you gonna do about me?
Oh.......oh What you gonna do about me?

Your newspapers,
They just put you on.
They never tell you
The whole story.

They just put your
Young ideas down.
I was wonderin' could this be the end
Of your pride and glory?

(Chorus)

I work in your factory.
I study in your schools.
I fill your penitentiaries.
And your military too!

And I feel the future trembling,
As the word is passed around.
"If you stand up for what you do believe,
Be prepared to be shot down."

(Chorus)

And I feel like a stranger
In the land where I was born
And I live like an outlaw.
An' I'm always on the run..........................

An Im always getting busted
And I got to take a stand........
I believe the revolution
Must be mighty close at hand.......................

(Chorus)

I smoke .........
But I cant get behind your wars.
And most of what I do believe
Is against most of your laws

I'm a fugitive from injustice
But I'm goin' to be free.
Cause your rules and regulations
They dont do the thing for me

(Chorus)

And I feel like a stranger
In the land where I was born
And I live just like an outlaw.
An' I'm always on the run.

Thanks, zipflint!
Sounds like you enjoy making some analog noises.
Got Hammond?

Good music never loses it's "freshness".

The kind folks here let me go nuts every now and then...

Great posts Hypnophone! ELP and Uriah Heep are big influences on my own musical attempts (bass, fuzz, guitar 6 and 12, acoustic and electric, keys) AND on some of my favorite current musical genres!

Yep, analog is where it's at, for me.
'cept my budget doesn't really allow it.
I'd crap mah pants for a Hammond or Moog.
Here's a whole album for analog synth heads! Have a dose of Stereolab's Emperor Tomato Ketchup!

Going back to Canada with BTO and Let It Roll On Down The Highway!

LYRICS
We rented a truck and a semi to go
Travel down the long and the winding road
Look on the map, I think we've been there before
Close up the doors, let's roll once more

Cop's on the corner, look he's starting to write
Well, I don't need no ticket so I screamed out of sight
Drove so fast that my eyes can't see
Look in the mirror, is he still following me?

Let it roll down the highway
Let it roll down the highway
Roll, roll

Look at the sign, we're in the wrong place
Move out boys and let's get ready to race
Four fifty-four's coming over the hill
The man on patrol is gonna give us a bill

The time's real short, you know the distance is long
I'd like to have a jet but it's not in the song
Climb back in the cab, cross your fingers for luck
We gotta keep moving if we're going to make a buck

Let it roll down the highway
Let it roll down the highway
Roll

Let it roll
Let it roll
Let it roll
Let it roll

Let it roll down the highway
Let it roll down the highway
Roll, roll, roll

Down the highway
Let it roll down the highway
Roll, roll, roll

Let it roll down the highway
Let it roll down the highway
Roll, roll, roll

zip, here's a lil 'ol CA band. Four-piece. A couple of them went on to get really good high-dollar gigs with famous bands that you may have heard of.....

Now, I have waterboarded everyone here with this stuff several times already, but haven't been spanked yet.
When we get to the Zappa is when I get my spankin's...

Odd time signatures? Oh yeah. Badass Geetar and Drums? Hail yeah!
Enjoy:
