Out of curiosity, how many drops can a cartomizer hold if it's completely dry?

I don't think I have burned a cartomizer yet, at least I don't sense the burnt taste but I also have a Revolver Ion (atomizer/cartridge) and I know that with the blue foam mod, I can get 20-22 drops in there before it starts to get overfilled. I have filled it several times already and always trying to push more drops in it but after trial and error, optimally, 20-22 drops is what works.

For a KR808D-1 cartomizer, how many drops before it is considered overfilled?

I actually found syringes and I'm thinking of filling it with a syringe as well but am curious about how many drops it technically can handle.

I know for myself, that when I get to around 20 drops, things could go either way. Some drops are bigger than others.

NY doesn't require a prescription to purchase up to 10 syringes at a time. And while I was in NV over the holidays, I bought syringes at a Wal-Mart pharmacy.

Go in with your e-cig..and show them the size of the hole

Edit: I see NJ may very well require it: http://www.newsworks.org/index.php/off-mic/item/11638-21pgsyringe
Would your Dr write you one for the purpose of using an e-cig?

From da intrawebs:

STATES THAT REQUIRE A PRESCRIPTION FOR SYRINGES ARE:

Alaska, California, Conneticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Mass, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island

That's good to know..thanks for updating the older data I'd found.
That should make it easier for Nutsnbolts to obtain then..at least when in NY :)

I actually managed to get them online from another eCig online store. Cheap enough and got the one without the pointed needles specifically for filling carto's.

Some suppliers carry syringes..
Personally, I got mine at my local CVS..no Rx required. They have insulin gauge ones that are kind of fine for drawing liquid up, but if I drop into them with the plunger out..they work just dandy for filling (VG or PG..no issues)

A box of 100 is about $15.00

lilhurricane you're a genius!! My mom is diabetic and has tons of syringes. Last night I tried one but, like you pointed out, the gauge was too fine to draw the liquid. I never even thought of taking the damned plunger out and doing it that way....Thanks!

If you have a Tractor Supply in the area they carry syringes and I would think that any Farm and Fleet outfit would as well. I bought mine at TSC (Tractor Supply) and some 16 gauge needles.....I find it too difficult to use the insulin needles for anything thicker than insulin.....I do however use them for DIY without the needle.

I have never used the syringes. people look at me funnt using my Riva in public I can only imagine how they would react about that and a syringe, here in the Bible belt S.C., I'd get stoned by the lil ol ladies.
Just pop the hard and soft tops off and either drip into the top with the holes or take the second top off and directly dop into the sides. Condoms, syringes, Im a busy girl dont have time for all that mess.

Condoms are messy but good for on the go. I use syringes with needles now. The needle has a beveled edge. I remove the white cap, place the needle between the wall of the carto and the filler, with the bevel towards the filler. Hit bottom with needle, slowly inject the juice, remove needle, remove bottom condom/buttplug, replace white cap, check tube, and vape. No muss, no fuss! I fill at home and I never leave the house with a bottle of juice unless it's for overnight. I had to buy a box of 100 (3ml 18gauge 1.5 inch from Hocks) but it was very easy to do and I'm in NJ.

It's really a preference thing anyway. If you clear the tube well after condom-filling, you should be okay. If you're dripping onto the filler there is less chance of getting juice in the inner tube. If you inject there is a lesser chance of getting juice in the tube, but if you do, you can draw out the excess easily. I don't miss those sticky fingers from condom-filling!

Here is what I don't get. Isn't the tube in the middle of the carto non pourus? In my boge's it seems so. Stops the juice from leaking out. If so, what's the point of using the condom method? I have used the comdom and drip method. Either way doing the "Taryn Spin" afterwards, I have gotten up to 40 drops in mine. I put a condom on the threaded end and spin it, the top of the filler is dry, drip some more, spin, repeat until spinning doesn't make the top dry anymore.

Never been a fan at all of the condom method. I find it way easier to just pop the cap off. I have had some cartos that I had to kind of feel for where the cap is if it has extended tip on it, and cut the outside with a knife, as well as one that I couldn't find it at all and ended up just peeling off the colored tape to get at the cap.

I haven't tried the pop method, but using the condom method, I've been perfectly happy. I get a good fill, lasts a whole day (with fairly constant vaping), and the only "mess" I have is the little bit of excess I have to wipe off the outsides of the carto where it squeezed up while I was pushing the carto down.

Condom method: Waste of juice. I've been using the kr808 cartomizers for two years (2 yrs in 5 days actually). I have yet to replicate what they show in the videos. No matter what I do, I always end up getting juice up the side of the cart. Yes, a majority gets in the cart.. but, its a waste.

Drip: Battery end. 3-4 drops for about 10 drags. Cap end, 10 drops. Dripping in the batt end is easier and better for on the go. Rarely do I pop the cap off.

So, drip wins for me. Batt end dripping takes the cake because its the easiest and least wasteful. Im sure there are plenty of folks who will disagree with everything I've just said, but... after 2 yrs its hard to break old habits ;)

I usually use the condom method to start of a fresh carto because I sense it distributes the juice more evenly throughout the filler. After that, I generally top off with a few drops as needed (usually about five at a time). I don't use the plastic cap or, for that matter, a drip tip-- just vape open-ended. (I guess if we were talking about attys, this would be called "tailpiping.") This makes topping off that much easier.

Thats definatly the theory behind the condom method.

Im not sure what ecig model you're using, but yes its called tailpiping. One good mouthful of juice and you'll probably stop doing that LOL! But hey, whatever works for you.
