One thing that folks choose to forget is that cartomizers were designed to be disposable.

The fact that we get to refill these is such a cool thing, but a luxury which was not in the product design.

Refilled cartomizers aren't going to give the exact same sensation that factory cartomizers do, and will burn faster and run hotter. Not sure why, but they just do.

I refill mine, as money dictates that I have to....but once I get no satisfaction from a cartomizer, it goes in the garbage.

Bornagainst ~ I agree. I sometimes feel going past four or five times refilling is too much? To me is starts tasting DIFFERENT? Just in my mind? I know some people state they refill many more times than this, but somehow to me it tastes different? I can't really put my finger on it though.

Thanks for everyone's input. I'm still trying to figure this all out, reading everything I can get my hands on, and so many opinions helps me figure out what is right for me. THANKS!

Hard to say, its an imperfect technology.

I have a couple carts that I have filled 15-20 times, and huzzah! They work great!

I have some that have crapped out after 2 fills.

Does it frustrate me, immensely....lol. But, at the end of the day, what can ya do. It is still cheaper and healthier than analogs.

Also, with the improvements that Steve and the gang are coming up with, I think the refilling dark days are behind us, and it'll get much easier and consistent.

And at the end of day I am truly, truly grateful to have found V4L and a way to dump the tobacco sticks. It really doesn't matter to me if I have to spend more money than I was spending on the analogs, because it feels so good to be free!

Mine burn too hot when they are overfilled (cause I got lazy and didn't spin and refill and spin and refill again) the liquid seems to bubble up and get hot! But I just do a quick blow out and life goes on. besides I always have at least 2 going at the same time. I have yet to have a carto die and I do wash after a few refills.

I think I need to do the washing bit MaryKay. Laziness I guess. I just try and refill with the same flavor. Thanks for the tip!

And don't forget, your hairdryer will be your best friend in this process. If I wash cartomizers, and let them sit overnight, I use a blowdryer for about 1/2 a minute on low heat to just "fluff em up".
