thanks for your advice, I was looking at 510 prices and I couldn't find any non-nicotine carts.
The reason why I'm looking at one of these is I have friends who do a lot of smoking, I don't smoke myself but would still like to be social w/ them in this, plus I figure I could get them into this alternative :> in any case, I might just go with the blu cig on account of the no-nic cartridges

lol seems kinda silly to me to shell out around $60 for a starter kit just to be social with your friends, but whatever floats your boat i guess

If you're not a smoker at all, please be aware that even no-nic carts may mess with you for a bit. There are reasons why all the e-cig manufacturers, blu included, state that their products are not for nonsmokers. Spend some time in the health section of the forum here to read about side effects and not just from nicotine.

Also, I personally suspect that the "no-nic" carts I got from blu have at least trace amounts of nicotine in them (or were mislabeled), because I reduced my nicotine exposure to zero ages ago, and a blu no-nic Classic Tobacco cart gave me distinctive symptoms of nicotine overexposure. I switched to a liquid made by a company I trust more, who actually puts ingredients on the bottle.

Interestingly, now that I think about it, a nonsmoker would probably have the fewest complaints about blu, since they wouldn't know what a real cig draw is like, so the light draw wouldn't be a problem, and they wouldn't care about getting a strong enough nicotine hit. Indeed, if you're dead set on doing this, I think you may well have fewer side effects from a lower-voltage device like blu than from a 510. I'm not a doctor, though.

I understand the peer pressure thing and I think it's good that you're not succumbing with real smoking. I think all of us started out of peer pressure. I did, and I was only 13.

Be aware that especially as a non-smoker inhaling the vapor can make you choke and cough just like a real cig. I've had my blu for a week and sometimes if I'm taking a long draw to get a lot of vapor I end up choking. Also the vanilla for some reason does it to me. Something about that vapor doesn't work with me when it hits my throat. Too bad because I really do like the flavor but I can't go into a coughing fit each time I draw.

The only thing the Blu will do is turn smokers OFF vaping it's such a bad device!!!!

You can get no nic juice and no nic cartridges for most types of devices. I would suggest only manual devices such as the 510.

But in reality I would suggest just not using one at all since you don't smoke.

yes most deff it does not taste like tobacco, truth be told i havent really came across a flavor yest the taste like actual tobacco, altho some do have a scent close to tobacco, the five ten is like alot less in price when you way out the cost of buying new carts.
Try the juices (nobacco juice) from Vapor4Life.com
28 different flavors and their real tobacco flavors are the real deal. The Virginia and Camel nobacco juice are spot on true flavor like the real thing. Marboro not that good, but they are working on new recipe. Even the non-tabacco flavors are very very strong in flavor and taste true to what is advertised. I have found their flavors to be the BEST of many different places I have tried. And their prices are unmatched by anyone.

And more important, their Vapor King is outstanding. Havent even used my 510 since starting with the Vapor King back o July 28th. The Vapor King is a KR808D-1 model (two piece), cartomizer method. Fresh atty in every cart. Hassle Free and th ease of use rocks. Throat hit and vapor output puts the 510 to shame.
Check out the posts about the Vapor King here in the ECF "vapor4life". Also, check there website: Vapor4Life.com

Im one of the few that Love my Blu.
The flavors I have tried,Menthol and Vanilla are outstanding and no they do not have a tobacco taste to them.
I am using the newer (post shipping again) kits.
Dont know if its a different kit than the originals were, but it is awesome.
Love it better than the 510 or my Dragon.

Here's a breakdown of the flavors that ship with a Blu:

  • Classic Tobacco: Tastes a little like saltwater
  • Magnificent Menthol: Spearmint chewing gum; no tobacco flavor
  • Cherry Crush: Very good, not too sweet, definitely a good cherry taste (like a Luden's cough drop); no tobacco flavor
  • Vibrant Vanilla: Excellent vanilla taste; doesn't taste metallic like some of the vanillas out there; no tobacco taste
  • Java Jolt: Weird taste, small hint of coffee; tastes like a darker version of the Classic Tobacco
Hope this helps.

I agree with most of this, though I like the Classic Tobacco and found it smells a lot like the empty cigar tubes I used to play with as a kid after my grandfather was done with the contents. :) I haven't tried the menthol or the vanilla, as those generally aren't to my taste, but you're right that the Java was weird, and like a darker/roasty version of the Tobacco. And I really liked the Cherry, too, but I like Johnson Creek's Black Cherry even better.
