its not about dropping the nic, its about dropping the ciggies..... Im still doing 36 nic but no longer doing the ciggies... my blood pressure is now normal, my breathing is great, I dont hack n cough when I laugh... my fingers arent orange anymore... the house smells clean.... I dont have to clean ash trays... and there arent any yellow puffies in the yard after I mow the grass...

thats what it is all about.....

Hi all.

Been struggling in my vaping life. I had thought I was progressing. I had gone from an eGo with a ce4 with juice at 20 nic, all the way through the gamut to 18650 mechs with drippers and RTAs using 2 nic juice.

Then, it was unceremoniously pointed out to me that although my juice nic had gone down tenfold, my vapor production had gone UP tenfold. So, the drop in nic really meant nothing. I am probably ingesting as much nic through a dripper at 2 nic, as I was through a ce4 at 20 nic.

That really burst my bubble. But it makes mathematical sence. So, I actually went back to my old ce5 and started using up my old 20 nic juice. After it's all gone, I may just go back to smoking. I thought I'd gotten somewhere. All I did was change nic delivery. I never quit nuffin. I might as well have switched to Snus. I enjoyed vaping. Till everyone seemed to make it all about quitting smoking.

Now, I really don't know why I even bother. Am I the only one? Does anyone even care? Or am I just "that forum jerk" and if I die of smoking related blah, who really cares? There are certainly more important lives to save than mine. Have you ever felt this way? Like you are just a smoker who likes being a smoker, trying to find a socially acceptable replacement? All to forget why you cared about what society thinks to begin with? Just thoughts. Deal with them or don't.

Thanks, ECF dood.

But twall old friend, if you quit vaping, I'll have to rip out my 0.44 ohm Plume Veil build!

In all seriousness, I agree, screw 'em. The whole point of vaping is, whatever you want it to be. If you want to vape 50x the amount of nicotine you got from smoking, then fire that PV up, double time! (Assuming it's a non-lethal dose, of course).

I personally have never been interested in decreasing my nicotine level or quitting vaping. In fact, I just bumped myself up from 12mg/ml to 15mg/ml at 40-60 watts, because I wasn't getting much from 12. Turns out, I just like vaping how I like vaping!

Quite honestly, because I never tried quitting. I never wanted to quit. I vape because it is delicious.

Since I was 8 years old, I have loved the smell of a cig. I love the taste. But I love the taste of vaping more.

However, if everywhere I turn, there are a bunch of judgmental ...... who want to tell me I am an idiot because I choose to vape, or to judge me based on some kind of stupid progression they impose upon me because of what they assume I am doing this for......well, it's just not worth the flavor.

its time to make a decision and dont care what other people think when they come down on you..... they will always be around... if it isnt vaping they are on to you about, it will be the way you brush your teeth or how you tie your shoes.... They Are Out There....

I have to say, in the nearly 3 years I have been vaping, nobody (including B&Ms) has ever questioned me, or made comments regarding the nic level I vape. Is it just me?

I vape 36 nic... and on occasion drip it too... Ive been to vape shops and they look at me like Im some kind of freak since they all do 3 - 6 nic... and 100ml lasts me a month.... they blow thru 10 -15ml a day... I believe Im way ahead of the game ;)

I smoked for 30 years. 2 pack a day for most of those years
Didn't care if I got lung cancer; it isn't contagious; and I aint got no kids; not married either;
But nobody tells you that it increases your risk of getting tuberculosis, - which IS contagious, and when you get that they lock you away for awhile, so now you can't work.

So forget the nicotine and think about the SMOKE and TAR; that's what damages your lungs.
Doc told me the right lung has 3 sections and the top one in my kinda disappeared so the middle part expanded up to take it's place (kinda like a balloon I suppose).

So yes you DID QUIT Sumfin: you quit the SMOKE and the TAR.
And you got rid of the ashtrays.

Just vape with what works for you. I vape for the nicotine myself. Not going to be getting off it anytime soon. I really don't want to. I just wanted a better alternative to cigs. Those wanting to get off nic can go down stages. Though I would advise them to stay away from drips. Considering how much stronger they are, they sort of defeat the purpose of trying to quit nicotine. lol

Indeed. We use the same exact PV build. LOL

This thread was just a rant about the stuff in my head. How people who are doing just what I am doing do it for such different reasons. I respect that. I just wish they'd do the dam same. If you wanna vape to quit cigs, go for it. Me? I don't like being in my body much when there is no nic and caffeine (and alcohol after hours) in it.

That's one thing. Dripping, I went from 10mil of juice @ 20nic a week, to 10 mil a DAY @ 2 nic. (Or more juice, depending on my sobriety.) Drippers are not for quitters; they are for hobbyists. LOL

I happen to care about any one who is struggling with any problems and I hate you seem to be having them with vaping. The first thing you need to do is to stop worrying what anyone thinks. The only one you have to please is yourself. Same with vaping. It is your choice. I smoked and vaped for a while and it just got to the point where I literally hated the taste of what I had been smoking forever. It was an easy transition for me. Not only should you increase your nic enough to fight any urges you may have, you could even try a WTA juice and see if that helps. I guess what I am trying to say is that if you want to quit smoking. . . you can. Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about your successful vaping.
