+1 on the dry burn...no matter what atty...yes....it works for me
So I wandered from the beaten path for a while and have now returned. Got myself a Russian 91% and learned how to build coils, and such.
I bought a lot of my beloved Joye 510 attys when I heard they might not be available much longer so I am set for a long, long time. I am back to them. What a different vape and experience from the R91.
I missed the ritual of manual dripping. I know that I do not have to blow through large quantities of liquid to have a thoroughly enjoyable vape. My old friend serves me well. The R91 is for the out and about times and my movie nights. And some lazy days.
I enjoy having to think about what I am doing and the liquid and the dripping. And the draw.
Well, hi all. Missed you.
801s are the airiest. Good flavor and vapor, but they'll leak if you let them sit for a while. So I went back to dripping my Smart Vapes 1.5 atties because i was tired of rebuilding last week and i havent put it down lol. Only thing I hated was the tight draw so i drilled out the holes to 1/16 and it is just right now. now my problem is the juice doesnt stay in with the bigger holes and i drilled out my drip shield but it fits too tight to the sides to let air flow. Took the top off a carto tank for now lol. Any suggestions on an atomizer with an open draw?
Hey, Shari!
I've had to come to the realization that I just don't like tanks in general. I just bought an RTA and while I haven't even built it yet, I already know (now) that I really just don't like tanks. I bought it on a whim and I believe that it is a good piece of hardware, but I am rarely ever out and about, so dripping suits my needs 9 times out of 10 -- and on that 10th time, I'll deal with the slight inconvenience of dripping.

I recently bought an Aspire Nautilus BDC Pyrex Glass Clearomizer Tank during a sale at VaporBeast. For a fancy Juice Delivery System that comes with pre-made, replaceable coil heads, this 5ml adjustable-airflow monster produces flavor and performance that are better (meaning closer to dripping) than anything I've tried, which includes many RDAs/RBAs with perfect micro-coils and Kho Gen Do organic cotton wicks. I like the Nautilus so much that I've ordered a second one from eBay.
Nothing will completely replace atty-dripping for me, however. I taste-test new juices often, and I don't want to have to fill a tank (or worse, empty and clean a tank and its coil and wick) just to try out a new flavor. Dripping into a standard atomizer provides the only relatively easy, convenient way to change juices on-the-fly. Sometimes, when a new juice is particularly tasty, I find myself dripping for a couple hours, just because it's so darned good.
Ah, the more things change, the more they stay the same...
I have a deep seated aversion to devices that make me use replaceable heads (no way in hell I'm rebuilding those complicated), so I doubt I will ever buy one for myself, but I do need to try one out to see what all this hype is about.
And yes, I appreciate the irony of saying that I do not like having to buy replaceable atomizer heads when I use disposable atomizers, but I get months and months out of those, and have never gotten anywhere close to that long out of a clearo head.
Whatever floats your boat, Ben. Vaping is all about personal preferences. I'd never suggest that someone should or shouldn't use any specific hardware, and I sure as heck don't expect others to use what I use.
