Thanks, bill. I was at the site today trying my damnedest to figure out what the "low-profile" was all about. I am going to sell some stuff when I get back from Cali (leaving tomorrow) and then make my decision. If Vapage has a BOGO, or even a half-off sale, it'll be a no-brainer. But, seeing as how I am (likely) going to get rid of my main workhorse, I may need something indestructible -- like a Reo.
I love the indestructible build of the REO. I had one for a few months before I went all in on the VMods. Here's why: I take these things to work and keep them in my pocket all day. The VMod has a sealed chamber below the atty that holds excess juice safely. I can tip that thing upside down in my pocket and no juice ever drips out. The REO's 510 connector is right there on top; when you squonk it, some juice comes out the side of the connector and into the catch cup. Tip it and it spills. It'd be great if I was at a desk all day, but I'm not.
The other thing is that I like the draw of the VMod better. With the Vapage BF atties, you can't really overdrip it (juice drips back down through the slots on the edge), and the chimney that screws over the atty tightens the draw just enough to make it perfect for me (when I use them on something else, I use a drip shield, which does the same thing). The REO feels too open to me. Of course, none of this may apply to you.
Finally, while not at all indestructible (I've broken them several times just by dropping the plastic chassis on the floor while filling), Vapage had replaced every one I've broken -- no questions asked. Some were bought used. I filled out their RMA form, and in the notes told them I broke it and asked what it would cost to repair, and each time I got a nice new VMod chassis in the mail a week later. So, I'm a fan of Vapage.
Maybe sometime we can meet up and you can try a VMod out with different atties and see what you think. I even have a couple unused ones I got on the last BOGO as part of my Vape Apocalypse collection, if you want one at cost ($50, I think). Let me know when you get back, if you haven't already gotten something in California.
