Pffft. I carry two mechanicals, two atty's with drip tips, and FOUR batteries with me anywhere I go. It does little to salve my anxiety...

Moueix, your a piker, I couldnt leave the house with 4 batts - truly I need 12 (18350 and 18490) with me minimum and at the least 2 pvs. All for just in case.

Not a problem. I have been on one Joye atty now for the past 3 weeks and it is still going strong. It'll probably go for another month before I put in the JIC box.

I hear you. I've only been using attys for 4 months, but I've yet to lose one. I have been playing with DIY so I need a larger supply at hand.

I haven't used the burn method yet- I cover with water, put in microwave for 15 minutes, then soak in Everclear. I then push some more EC through, and allow to dry before I put a couple drops of pg to store. I read that a few minutes in 180 degree oven is needed to ensure dry.

I'd like input on this method. Please humor me as I know this horse is beyond decay. :)

Personally I'd skip the microwave deal and just do the EC soak, and I'd just blow out the EC and add the pg without letting it dry. If that doesn't work as well you can always go back to this method, but the results should be the same.

Is there a difference between Joye Atomizers and Joyetech atomizers? I mean, besides the ~$4/each? They're not the same brand, are they?

Yeah, just a shortened spelling. The difference in price has to do with whether or not the vendor is considered "authorized" or not. If seeing remarkably low prices on Joyetech (Joye) attys, that likely is due to the vendor buying though a middle man. Joyetech makes their authorized vendors sell at set price points and if they don't, they will be on Joyetech's "unauthorized" list. Vapor Joe had an article on this very thing recently. http://.........blogspot.com/2013/06/the-dirty-little-not-so-secret.html

You guys were right about Keith at Empiremods. The 1.8 I originally got died on me after an hour or so. I'm not sure if it was defective or user error, but he insisted on sending me a replacement.

I am not surprised to hear about what Keith "insisted" upon.

Yeah, he takes care of stuff with no arguments. Great customer service.
