classy has a point - the few suppliers we've had were way before the contest! we'll need to clarify that!!!!! are they eligible? my guess is no. can we still have a party - i hope so!

I saw a post by DancingHeretic in the contest discussion thread and she(?) turned vet in march and asked about maybe having a welcome thread an celebration just for fun. She's aware that she's not eligible for the contest, but would like to be welcomed. I sent a PM inviting her to PVT, to ask for a late welcome therad.

Contest stuff should be directed to j0ker.... so I wouldn't mention the contest in the invite. I'm not sending stuff so I don't have that problem. However, jj and j0ker may need to verify/confirm/check their text about it. We don't have confirmation on the "new" way, and the old way is their text. There's probably something about contests and SAs/Vendors already. Not our problem though, IMO.
What I WOULDN'T do is promise them (or anyone) a contest entry in your PM if you discuss it at all without "subject to qualification, some restrictions apply" or something to that effect.

KK, I just followed Kat's sample PM and since it didn't mention contests, then neither do I. That is really not my area and I know absolutely nothing about it. It is hard enough to keep up with you guys. <snicker>
