Is it just me? Or has anyone noticed a run on mechs and parts? I think this whole "Death of the mech mod" meme has made them more desired than ever.

Either that or a rising tide lifts all boats, so more people using reg boxes now could just be due to more people in general getting into vaping in the last few months, and that includes mechs. Boxes could be growing faster due to average users jumping into the game, while mechs grow too for the more hobbyist minded.

Thoughts?

the simplicity/dependability of a Mec mod will always make them desirable...:2c:

Open one just for paypal that you can transfer money in and out of as needed.

Not a chance. I'm not opening another bank account just so I can buy mods in th classies. That's ridiculous.
The risk isn't worth the reward.
I've done good business with half the registered vendors on EFC. If that isn't good enough then I'll pass on being a member of that club.

Besides, paypal doesn't allow e cig sales......!
Ill pass on having my funds seized, thanks.

I think that for a time, specifically between late summer 2014 and now that mechanicals had lost some ground, but that was only because regulated devices started to up their "sexy factor", in addition to the ability to tailor your vape to taste with control over power ouput. I was a die hard mechie for the better part of 2014, then I made a sharp shift over to everything regulated.

Well, over the last two months my interest in mechanical mods has been reignited. Right now I use both on a daily basis, and I think this is how it will be for a lot of vape enthusiasts.

I got denied entry into the Classifieds, but I refuse to have a bank account tied to Paypal. I understand the policy of needing a verified account, but I can't budge on that hehe.

Go get a netspend card its a reloadable visa with all the benefits of a checking account, bank name, routing numbers acct numbers even direct deposit if wanted. Had one for 5 years now it is what I have tied into all online activity. Best part is if nothings loaded, nothing to steal from a hack
Manage everything online just like a regular bank.

Mechs will never die. All this 90 watt madness just convinced many newer vapors mechs aren't relevant. Its all I use now.

On the plus side the new joyetech ego one is sparking a lot of interest. Its surprising how many don't realize its actually a mech made plug n play friendly lol

I don't think mech mods will die, though they may become a niche market.
As the number of vapers grows, so does the number of stupid people vaping and not all of them want to deal with the intricacies of a mech mod.
Its like people blowing up their garages with turkey friers because they don't use common sense.

Its simpler for someone to use a regulated mod and just start at a low voltage/wattage and bump up till they are happy than it is to try and figure out ohm's law to make sure they are using a mech the right way. And frankly, those people buying mechs could lead to bigger issues politically as they blow themselves up trying to vape something that we all know is a bad idea.

There is also the bling factor of the little digital displays and the ooos and ahhs of hit counters and timers, etc.

As for paypal, I have had an account tied for 10 years and have never had a problem. I both buy and sell that way and it works for me.
You could try linking a prepaid card to paypal.

There are also other methods of getting verified for the classies.

Just my thoughts.

Except that the people blowing themselves up are the ones using Ego batteries and trying to blow clouds with no knowledge of Ohms law, that leave them charging on cheap $3 Chinese chargers overnight.

People with mechs that are not idiots (and i realise that leaves a gap, "hi - i made a 0.08 coil - safe?") are capable of building coils to taste and have a clue about battery safety that is not necessary for "i just want to stop smoking" folks.
