Does it have to be a tube mod? A really great mod recently came out with the yihi 330 v2 chip, it's called the ipv2 50.watt box mod. It's about 109. Dollars. It has touch fire and traditional firing. It vapes down to .2 ohms. Displays ohms, battery, watts and volts. Volts are adjusted in increments of one . Very consistent vape up to 50 watts. It's known as the dna killer. It's lighter and thinner than the dna series but a bit taller. They are selling out really fast. I was lucky enough to grab one from watts up. Shipping was lightening fast. This mod has a adjustable 510 connection and takes one 18650 battery. Take a look at it on google. Just Google ipv2 50 watt box mod. It sure won't disapoint! ! It locks and unlocks very easily and is easy to carry with you. It's not bulky or heavy. Fits in a pocket or purse easily. The technology is exceptional with the yihi chip and the mod actually has a full YEAR warentee. You won't find that with most other mods. Yihi is known to offer download able upgrades for their chips as well. Definitely worth looking into!! I really love mine!

Is it as big and heavy as the MVP2?

realsis: dna 30 is a chip - I think your talking about the hana modz and hana clone, yeah? I'm sure the vapor shark (dna 30 device) would probably come in smaller and lighter than the ipv, but I agree that yihi chip does seem to be less quarky than the dna (no click on then click to fire etc). that iPV seems like a slick device. I pointed my friend that direction, even though I dont have one. It will be interesting to see how it stands the test of time.

unless you get a mod with a charge port that comes with a battery remember to add those to your total.
my first non ego was a SmokeTech SiD (15w) for $50. the I had to get something to power it... at
$10-15 a battery (get a few good quality name brand batteries from a reputable source. dont skimp! or it may cost you way more down the line!),
$6 battery boxes (dont want them rolling around in your pockets to short out on your keys or something - like this)
$20 for a good charger (again, dont skimp, I got this one).

that was basically $50 to get into AVPs and $50 for a cheapy mod. I tell my firends that are stepping up from ego/mvp to get a quality box mod with a charge port. Not sure if the iPV comes with an 18650 or not, but still 120 for a 50w device (and battery) that you can charge with a micro usb cable.. I think thats decent...
I recently got a hana clone.. I worry about the clone dna board being crap and over charging my battery or over discharging it.. so I'd be hesitant to recommend them.

I wasn't a fan of box mods at first, but for a regulated mod it feels like carrying around a baton with a kayfun on it. I think it looks dumb with the mini tanks (evods/protank 2 mini). its not super pocketable (I snapped the shaft of my protank mini because it hung out of my jeans pocket too far...) - maybe it would be better with an 18350... but then you are sacrificing vape time.

Do your research. Check out pbusardos videos - he dives down into the nitty gritty of how good a mod actually performs.
If you can, go to a vape shop and check it out. Take what they say with a grain of salt though, some shop guys talk a good game but dont know crap.

I actually own all the devices I was speaking of. I do believe I know the units, chips, and technology on a intimate level. I can compare the dna 30 and the ipv2 50 with the yihi 330 v2 chip because I OWN both and understand their workings. Yes I know dna 30 is a chip. It's inside my dna 30 cloupor box mod
I also understand the technology yihi sx 330 v2, and 350 chips have to offer. But yes I know how both these mods perform. I wasn't just guessing, I own them and was speaking from EXPERIENCE.

Sorry if I offended, that wasn't my intent. It isn't here either:
I take no issue with your experience. It was just unclear to me which DNA 30 device you were talking about. Like I said previously, I'm sure the vapor shark DNA 30 would come in smaller and lighter (at the expense of battery life) when compared to the iPV or Hana.
This is just being nitpicky, but the cloupor Hana clone has a cloned DNA 30 in it (according to evolv, the manufacture of the authentic DNA 30, it's a horrible clone...) - I only bring it up because if you have issues with it it shouldn't taint your opinion of the authentic board.
I was just trying to clarify which box you had the DNA 30 in. Calling the Hana modz a DNA 30 device is accurate, but comparing dna30 to iPV in regards to size confused me. It's like saying my carolla is shorter than my HEMI (could be the cuda, dodge ram, charger)...
Chips:
Yihi sx330
DNA 30 (clone for cloupor)
Mods:
iPV v2
Hana clone (or chana, or cana or cloupor DNA 30 mod or whatever they are calling it these days...)

DNA 30 devices:
Hana modz
Vapor shark
Zna
Asgard
Wizard evolved ii

Yihi sx350 devices:
iPV
Tatroe Atlas
Sigelei Legend

Again, not trying to get in a posting war or anything, just trying to get clarification/clarify my point.

If you can get over the looks, the SVD2.0 is exactly what you described. Personally, I think iy looks too much like something to make c3po more correct under the cod piece, but it's a DNA20, and expexted to be around $80

Thats exactly what I don't like about it. The look. Or else I have considered it. The more I've been looking into it the more I'm liking ipv just for the versatility of it. I'm just wondering if there are any retailers in Toronto that sell as I'd like to actually see before I purchase it.

The Orbit30 is awesome,
It looks awesome and performs like a champ.
It is a HanaModz clone with DNA 30 chipset
costs, 99 bucks without batteries (you need a 20A efest purple or the high capacity sony ones)
GotVapes Orbit30 30 Watt Box Mod - Cloupor DNA30 Chipset - BLACK [gv-Orbit30DNA30BoxMod-BLACK] - $99.50 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

check it out :)

That's the one I have... I think they are just calling the Cana mod something else because it seems like the same mod and board to me, based on the reviews I've seen anyway.
Pretty sure it's a DNA 30 clone... Important distinction IMO.
I run mine with a Sony Vtc5
