Aubergine, that's a beautiful post, and very inspiring. Like you, I remember spending a lot of time (two entire weekends for me) researching e-cigs, first a year ago and then three months ago when I finally decided to give vaping a go. And like you, I remember the evening my package arrived and the moment I took my very first vape. In fact, I remember my exact thought at that moment: I can do this. I can quit cigs using this. And I haven't had a cig since that moment 10 weeks ago. Hooray for us and everyone like us on the road to dumping cigs for good.

Jeff,

I read your post and thought....God, that's exactly how I started vaping. Before I received my first kit, I was really hoping it would be the key to my quitting and it was!!!

Now when I'm out vaping and see the smokers huddled somewhere either outside a store or a business, I really want to go up to them and say "There's a way to get off those things" .

It's amazing how smoking runs your life. It's so nice not to be plagued with these thoughts
- 'Do I have enough cigarettes until tomorrow?'
- 'How long til I can have another cigarette?
- 'Do I smell like stinking smoke?'

:):):):)

rdytoquit, I agree! The whole journey is eyeopening. I used to be so defensive about smoking. Now I am just sad that I wasted the kind of money I did on that trash and could have used it to go places with my family!
I don't miss the panic when I ran low
I don't miss the ashes all over the place and the butts in the yard.
I don't miss the constant teeth cleaning to get rid of that yellow stain.
I don't miss my grands crinkling up their noses when they came in the house.
I don't miss going out side at the mall, the theater, the restaurant to smoke!
Most of all I don't miss not being able to breathe.

MK,

Agree 100%!
I used to hate going to the dentist for a cleaning and the first thing he'd ask is "When are you going to quit smoking?". This time I finally could say "I quit". What a great feeling. I'm sure that many of my dental problems stemmed from smoking. Why wasn't V4L around 20 years ago?

Too right. No more late night cig runs. Not to mention all the other benefits. It's been really nice this winter to not have to go outside all the time.

I still only stick with a few juices at a time, but then again I notice certain things just do not go well with either what I have at/drank, and I am sometimes lazy...

Yes and it was horrid, I am still going through my home to make sure the smell of smokes is gone, its been a very long haul for the laundry but a great way to break in a new softener I got the other week and wanted to test out. :)

Yea but its okay, I am fine with looking shifty.

Yea I can still remember 2 of my favorite shirts and my damn couch. :(

No mods yet, mind you, I said yet. :D

Rdytoquit... I guess it's true... great minds think alike!

And you, too, MaryKay. By the way, I dropped a suggestion and photo for another metallic batt (bronze) in that thread on p. 1. Not that I'm pushing you!

Did somebody mention copper? I want copper. I love copper. MaryKay, can you please convince Steve and Leaford and Val an Mark that we NEED a copper XL with that wonderful airy draw of the reg. manual?

And, I agree, pastels are, well, pastels, as you said, not much one can do with peach and pear and banana. I like serious colors: plum, wine, hunter green, chocolate brown, dark gold, brass, silver. Smoking lounge colors.
I just wish I could get all black cartos, how I loathe that all the menthols are green. They look stupid to me on anything but a white battery, which i do not have nor want. My VK reminds me of a wrecked car repaired with parts from a junkyard. Blue battery, teal carto and black tip currently.

On topic I know what you mean about the mods, I even built a FL one and I never use it, it was a fun project tho. I still want mine not like a cig but more like a black and mild.

Try blanks! There are black premo blanks on the site that you can fill however you like!

We got a bunch of black blanks in a recent order. I used a silver sharpie to label the flavors, then put a piece of scotch tape over the sharpie so it doesn't rub off. Works like a charm and looks pretty sharp on a chrome batt!

I think thats the route I will end up going. Would have this time but wanted to try and find a good menthol flavor in the sample packs. I also wish i could just get the cartos the same color as the battery with out the stickers, i use a tip so the heat doesn't matter to me. I will probably just switch to silver batteries so I can just take the sticker off.
