Removing Zenesis Insulator

Hi there everyone. I'm looking for some advice on how to remove the insulator from my Zen standard. I don't have a lot of tools laying around, so if I can do this without investing much in tools, that would be best. I was having a bit of trouble earlier with it and don't want to reck the upper deck of the device while struggling with it.

I removed mine with a pair of tweezers. I pretty much ruined it getting it out but they sell more pretty cheap if you decide to put it back in.

I was able to use the tip of the blunt gauge needle that was included in the package

Hmm mine is in there pretty tight... I was having a tough time with tweezers and a jewelers screwdriver.

We're your zens pretty new? Mine is pretty old. Did you have a tough time or did it come right out? Nt worried about ruining the insulator--already got replacement parts.

If you're not worried about ruining it, you can drill it out.

Removed 6 so far.

Just take off the tank and push the plastic tube down with a small screwdriver, drill bit, pen....whatever.

My tried and true method is to take the allen key that comes with the ZAP and push the insulator out from the bottom. I do it this way because the pre-installed insulator typically does not reach the very bottom of the wick hole so the allen key can make good contact and push it right out. It will seem like it is really stuck in there - just apply firm, even pressure and it will work itself out.
