Reo at 5v?

I am truly extremely jealous.I am.Im hoping maybe after Christmas.Why do we always need something else?I should be more than happy with what I have.

Do these 5 volt nimh batteries work with the regular Woodvil or just the original Woody? I wasn't sure with all the Wood that is going around in the posts LOL.

Also, when they need to be charged, do they just stop working? The reason I ask is I read somewhere that people were saying they would stop firing when they needed to be recharged and figured I would ask the expert REONAUTS as I wasn't sure if these types of batteries shared any similarities with the IMR batteries about making sure not to discharge them too low.

Yes, I believe they do, Debb posted above that she uses 5v on her woodvil - but mvgratz or mwa102464 are more expert at this so I hope they will chime in.

This is only day three for me, and yes, when they need to be charged they produce little puffs of vapor as opposed to the atomic vape you get when the batteries are still charged. I am finding that a charge can last for 4 hours more or less

I am not aware that these batteries 4.8V NiMH 600mah Battery have any issues ...

I don't own a Woodvil but I'm pretty confident they would fit just fine. I have found these batteries stop firing the atty when they drain to around 4.3 volts. Also, they don't have a nipple tip, so you'll be depressing your button a tad further to get your atty to fire.

Edit: For the Woodvil, disregard my comment about button pressing. That applies to the Grand.

If they hit 5v I swap! Mine come off the charger at 5.68 - hope that's normal..

I am just glad these don't have the special discharge requirements like the IMR batteries.

I ordered the 5 volt batteries from RTD along with the charger they sell for it.....Apparently you need this charger for this particular battery. Is there a risk of overcharging or can you just leave it in the charger and not worry about it?

I usually leave mine in for 5 hrs...but my light doesn't work on my charger....so I hope 5 hrs is long enough..lol...my chargers are on a power strip tho, and I turn it off at nite and when I'm gone...

That's okay ED, glad to see ya on the other thread too I have been using a Boge 2.0 Carto since I started three days ago, this is day 4. On Day 1 -- the vape was ATOMIC but HOT! I found that I had to take off the white cap and put on a 510 delrin tip.... ahhhhhhhhh, much much better. I thought it was too hot, and that I would need to get a 2.3 or 2.8 or 3.0 carto as suggested earlier in the thread... well, I continue with my 2.0 on day 2, and I couldn't believe how easily I became used to it! I love it!

I got an incredibly inexpensive charger here: 4.8 volt NiMH Battery Charger

I didn't realize that the light will not turn green! So you have to keep an eye on your batteries, letting them charge for about 5 hours or so. I also found that it pays to have a multimeter so that if you lose track of time you can check how the charge is going. I have placed a timer near the charger so that whenever I place a battery in it, it counts up and I know how long it's been there

I find that I am continually using that charger all day long, so if I have a battery in it at night before I go to bed, I remove the battery and unplug the charger and then pick up wherever I left off the next day.

Be on the safe side and don't leave your batteries charging overnight

I love it, absolutely love it... just today I was thinking that as much as I love it..... I might begin rotating between 3.7 and 5v, like perhaps 5v in the mornings to get the engines started, and then 3.7 at night because atomic vapes right before bed might not be a good idea LOL!

Does anyone know if these chargers stop charging after it reaches the battery's peak voltage?

I know with my other charger that don't have lights, I can tell they are done as the battery isn't warm anymore but so far these have always stayed warm on the charger which concerns me a little.

I don't believe they do. I give mine 5 hours to charge and then take them off the charger.

I'm not sure, charger description says it charges up to 5.8 - I left mine charging til it reached 4.8, took it off the charger to go to bed, and then let it charge an additional 2 or 3 hours -- it was ok, came off the charger at like 5.7
