3 days? Is Rob back in the hospital???Coulda been vaping on a real REO 3 days after you ordered it![]()
It's all about setting expectations bro. Say 3 days and be extra happy when it actually comes in 23 days? Is Rob back in the hospital???
As I've said, if you buy a diamond ring for ten cents, you have a ring that's not worth a dime.Got mine and, well...it's junk compared to a Reo. Button wobbles, button caps don't fit, door is flimsy, magnets aren't even needed as the door is a friction fit, and the adjustable 510 isn't reverse threaded. I'm using a LR boge carto and it vapes similar to my now-sold authentic Reos.
Pretty much just echoing what others have already said, though I will state that with a battery installed and the cover on - it has a solid heft and feel. Mine doesn't exhibit any cosmetic defects and so it actually looks pretty good.
You could argue that my complaints are trivial, and I would counter by saying it all adds up to an item that is inferior to the real deal. It just does not exhibit the quality of an authentic Reo, but yeah it's a compromise at less than one-fifth the price.
So, what did I do a week after receiving this? Ordered another genuine Reo to replace one of those that I sold, along with a spare fire button. I will still use the cheap Chinese imitation, but I'm hoping the genuine Reo button fits the clone - it's fatter and may resolve the wobble and allow me to install my green glow-in-the-dark button cover.
i just have to wonder something about everybody that is knocking the clone??
had this clone came out before Reo ever hit the market, what would your opinion be then ? and would you put the effort into it to make it work, like all of us vets had to do back in the beginning !!
Some will be content with a junk clone, good for them. I for one like something that not only works fantastic every time I hit the firing button, but is backed up by someone who understands and cares about customer service, dollars to donuts my LP Reo Grand Black Wrinkle will outlast this junk whatever Chinese clone not by months but by decades.o
Who is going to repair the clone , not the company in Shenzen I would imagine, where are you going to get spare parts. I think we all know that answer...
i guess you haven't used the clone right?
do you think it's junk because it is chinese?, because it is a clone?, or because you have a real argument about the quality?, or just because you are loyal to the brand?
I don't have a reo clone but the clones that I have perform really well and I don't have any complaints whatsoever about them
Yes I am loyal to the brand, but from what I have read on this thread the clone is substandard at best, door, magnets, button, finish, firing pin, spring and it isn't even an Low Profile. I'm sure there is more but I will leave that to others.
I ask you who will replace all the substandard parts and make repairs if needed. In my opinion this clone is a use and throw away mod, mine on the other hand isn't.
ehh...I'd rather not support someone who is overcharging and keep the $100 in my pocket for a vape that's going to give me the same results....no cig's
The REO is not really overpriced.. You are not paing too much when you buy one... It is selling at the price point for a product of it type, "Authentic US made Vape Device". It's going to cost more when you are NOT paying your employees $2 an Hour.
It is what it is.... The initial thoughts from the "fanboys" were pretty much spot on IMO. Pretty much every part that points to performance on this device has some issue with it and hence will not perform the same as the original. I think the feedback from people that actually own or owned the real deal carries more weight than from those that have never owned one. From what I have read from those that have owned or own a Reo pretty much have said the device is usable but not even close to being the same vape here and is in need of further customization to even perform decent....
The whole "clone vs. original" is not an issue to me at all. I've owned clones and now I only own originals. If the device works and delivers a great vape, then its pretty much a no brainer....buy it.... But to say that the actual Reo grand is not worth the money because someone bought an original device, (that wasn't even a Reo), and felt it was not worth the price point and then bash all originals is just childish IMO...
I don't think the REO is overpriced, and you will get a great device, on the other side I don't think the clone has to be a bad device also, I love my clones...
What really bugs me are fanboys saying that something is inferior just because it is a clone and bash it without knowing or using it.
