late on this as usual, but just want to say I have a friend who has had her reo for 4 years.....she has never had one single problem from it. that means the only things she has bought for the last 4 years was liquid and toppers.......she recently sent it in for the upgrades, only because she wanted to.

I'm slow...where is the review mentioned above?

It doesn't exist (yet). I think he may have been replying to me from when I told him some of the UK folks are getting them and one fellow posted some pictures.

The only info from anyone who has actually received one that I am aware of simply says it's a lot like a REO... But - there are some imperfections in the finish - the SS 510 adjuster is threaded right hand instead of left - and the device operates. No info about performance, vdrop, contact material, what metal it's made from etc.

You are a major celebrity, brother. Getting love on Fasttech, lol.

received this recently.: FastTech Forums

lol, That's too funny :) Whats more funny is that I have never bought anything from fasttech or even visited their site for that matter and I wouldn't touch that clone with a commercial pool strainer :)

But then again, I did burn Marlboro lights all those years right up till the end and never thought to buy lesser quality cigs :)

There is a very short review posted on the fasttech page, linked in the last post on the previous page. Not sure if that is the review being referenced.

Yeah. That's vern. That's the same guy that posted about it on 'another forum' (I think it's bad form to post links to other forums... and honestly I bet it's against the rules). I am pretty convinced after reading his stuff that he might not be an expert.

From the little info I've found, it's painted/ coated aluminum.
Pics on FC show the unpainted inside of the door.

It's funny to see all the REO supporters hoping this clone is a failure.

You do realize of it's good, Rob will get more good press and exposure for the authentic than he could ever afford to buy.

If these are even decent, they will propel REO into the mainstream like never before.

Rob need to get that website rebuilt, and take advantage of the tsunami of advertising he's getting.

Turn that frown upside down.

I don't think any "REO supporters" care if it's a success or a failure. In fact, I stated earlier that I hope it works great for the folks who can't afford an authentic. Being skeptical is not the same as hoping it sucks.

Well... my first feeder was a top feeder kit from madvapes. My next was an oldgoat. The oldgoat caused me to buy a REO mini. It is a direct correlation. Without the oldgoat, I would never have purchased the REO mini. 100% no doubt.

-- Along the way and in no particular order, I also bought an army tank, a vvpv, a redsky, a hog, a bogger, a boge revolution v2, a lucy juicy, a VV REO Woodville, an SL REO Grand, a surge tank, and maybe one or two others I've forgotten. --- I don't necessarily have any wishes of success or failure regarding the REO clone, but I will say that I very much doubt this particular device will turn out to be spectacular. I'm going to be surprised if my speculations about the body material and the spring are very far off.

I'll also say that every feeder I've had was significantly different than every other feeder I've had. Along with that, out of all of those feeders, the only ones I still have are the REOs. Why that is: REO raised my standards considerably. I used to be satisfied with inferior devices. My REOs spoiled me and became the benchmark I measure everything else by. It's a high bar.

REOs aren't that expensive, but most people are Scared to drop $130-230 on a new device that's totally unfamiliar just to "try out a concept".

Squonking isn't just buying another mod. It's a complete system, requiring other dedicated gear.

IMHO A lot of clone customers can afford a real REO, they just want to test drive one before they buy to see if they can live with it.

Clones is clones, original is original... Rob at Reos has one of the top customer service reputations in the industry, he brings out products that his customers want. You can actually have a conversation with him about his product, that may be tough to do with a Chinese clone manufacturer.

I think the cheaper price of the clone will introduce a lot of people to the art of squonking, some will move on to other styles and some will buy an original Reo. What is happening is just the nature of the industry. Robs customer base is very loyal, many of us have multiple Reos and will keep on buying the original.

I think Reos Mods will be alright, clones may put a dent in sales, but, Rob has a knack of staying ahead of the curve.

I don't think they can clone this....lol

Of course they will deny that but it's as obvious as obvious gets to anyone reading this thread that, it is indeed the case. I, however, do not see your other points as something thats going to happen at all .

Fasttech always fixes things that people complain about to improve what they sell , want reverse threaded , they will make it reverse threaded . Seems the enclosure is dead on solid aluminum like most expected it to be .

I always do my research and i like getting superb clones simply because they are huge money savers and function (often times equal or even better) than the original item , which is why i have never even once considered buying an original after buying a great looking and working clone.

The only way i would ever consider an original is if the clone was an epic failure in every way and that i have yet to experience. Every clone i have works fantastic .
