I am sure the signs of too much nic are very apparent but evidently I am weird. I started out vaping 18mg and I am still using 18mg. Since using the reo, I will say the juice has gotten even better. You can easily buy some vg at Walmart and dilute you nic down. The flavor will be diminished somewhat, but I have not had any issues while doing this same thing. Here is a calculator that will help you figure out what you need to add to make it 3 mg.

DIY E-Liquid Combining Calculator

Good luck to you and keep on enjoying that reo. I know there awesome. :sneaky:

So I'll actually be able to feel something when I get this thing in the mail? I seem unaffected by nicotine. Using 24mg BB currently.

Let's just say it would be best if you didn't plan on anything that requires a clear head, at least for the first day or so. Don't ask how I know this :)

Depends a lot on watts and atomizer efficiency.
If you never dripped, let's just say you'll feel the nicotine now, and will want to go 12mg or lower.
If you already drip, just make lower ohm coils.
If you don't feel 24mg nicotine on an RDA with a .4ohms coil, there's really something wrong with you.
Please note that i don't recommend actually doing that, that would be pretty dangerous.

After going from .5 to .4 ohms myself, i could feel some pretty heavy tachychardia after chain vaping 6mg juice. It sucks, badly.
So i just lowered to 3mg, and all is good. I still feel the nic quite a lot if I chain vape, but i feel warm and a bit dizzy, not on the verge of dying lol.

(I like .4 because i barely feel the battery sag at those wattages. Plus it it's gorgeous.)

Since using my new Reo about a week I am getting nicked out= too much nic, anxiety. I am using 6mg. Honey Pearry as this is my usual ADV. My coil build is about 1.2 ohms. I guess I will have to try 3mg.or dilute my juice somehow. Any thoughts? Thanks ,Dave

As others have said you can thin your juice, or buy lower nic juice.
I just wanted to add that you can also up your coil ohms.
You're feeling the nic alot because you're absorbing more juice than previously, and that's because the atomizer is vaporizing more juice than on your previous setup.
Because of that you probably also noted that your juice consumption has gone through the roof.

So making higher ohm coils could allow you to keep your 6mg, and vaporize less of it. Most people find it less satisfying though.
(less flavorful and less vapor)

The Reos hit so well, many have had to lower their nic level. If 6 is bothering you, get some 3, buy zero nic in the same flavor and mix them, or dilute what you have with either vg, pg, or both. It's easy to go into a nic coma after getting a Reo! When I got my first one, I was at 18 and it just blew me away! I got some 12 right away and all was better. Now, I am mostly doing 6, but I am finding the flavors still too intense and I still use my unflavored to dilute, but keep the nic/vg/pg where I like it. I also have straight vg if I want to dilute nic, flavor, and bring down the pg some. I have some old 18mg 80/20 pg/vg that's unvapeable in my Reo. Lots of options to bring your juice to where you want it to be.

Says you. :D

I was on 18mg for over a year and recently bumped up to 20-24mg.

My single coils are always built around .5Ω-.6Ω and my duals measure just under .4Ω (two ~.8Ω coils). 100% RDA all day every day.

Let's just say I'm a big fan of nicotine, and I like my Reos to deliver dense, full, deliberate, and yummy punches. Not a fan of puffing away constantly.

Different strokes for different folks.

I think the moral of the thread is a squonked Reo with an RDA on top delivers the goods pretty damn well. A good majority of new users are indeed in for a shock if they are coming from a cartomizer, clearomizer, or Tank RBA.

Like I said there is a problem with you man, you need to see a nicotinist !
But of course it depends on the frequency of the hits. How many mls are you vaping per day ??

I was at 15ml a day before getting my reo, and that was bad.
Since i loaded up the Reo 3 days ago i'm at 30 :/ even before i lowered my nic.
Problem is, i'm a flavor junkie and can't get over how good this fresh squonken juice tastes each time lol.
It's probably just the new toy effect, i hope so because those 120ml bottles i'm DIYing are suddently looking really small...

I'm with you, FD. I vape unflavored juice, but here's what I found. I was using 20mg with attys, since getting an RM2, I've actually gone UP to 24mg (no diluting required), but my juice consumption is down. My vapes are more spaced out, but I take 3 or 4 consecutive 6 second vapes before I exhale. I like thick, dense, sizable clouds. I'd guess my juice consumption is down about 30%.

That said, my first evening with a REO consisted of quite a few "Whoa"s. These are not toys, and should only be used by responsible adults :)

Somewhere around 4-5ml a day. Pretty sure a great deal less than low nic "cloud chasers" and high flavor "flavor chasers."

Problem is, i'm a flavor junkie and can't get over how good this fresh squonken juice tastes each time lol.

There's no wrong way to vape a Reo. :D

Yep. I'm not a fan of constantly puffing on my mod either. I like a few drags that deliver the goods in a purposeful way that I can feel straight away. My Reo setups mean business. I pick it up, take 4-5 dense vapes, then I'm satisfied and can set it down for a bit.

Amen. The RDA/Squonk setup can indeed be a bit of a nicotine shocker for the uninitiated. The OP's post is very common around these parts.

Damn, now I'm scared. Don't like heart racing. I get enough of that with panic attacks. I have plenty of drip atty's I use at around 1ohm and never have a problem with 24mg juice. Is it the low ohms that causes an issue, or the nature of this device?

It's the nature of an RDA: Higher wattage and airflow used on top of a mech (like the Reo) or high wattage regulated device.

The Reo just happens to make it easy to overdo things at first, because squonking is so damn simple...:D

I don't know the exact science per say behind it. I've heard two basic ideas floating about the interwebs regarding it, and both of these theories sound entirely plausible both on their own or in combination:

1.) The lower ohms = higher wattage. Nicotine vaporizes much more efficiently at higher temps? Hence you get way more nicotine dosage per hit compared to a regular atomizer at lower wattage?

2.) You're plain and simple getting a more dense and concentrated volume of vaper per hit with an RDA, hence more nicotine?

Who knows?

But this much I can say is definitely true:

The overwhelming general consensus is people find that they need to lower their nicotine levels on an RDA, especially when vaped at higher wattages. There's no placebo effect going on there.
