Well, let me speak for the ProVarinati, then.

The REO is a very nice device, so this is no criticism of the REO.

The ProVari is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship made right here in the USA. The device is milled and produced to military specs.QUOTE]

Where is the reo made? Not that it matters unless shipping is issue

Sounds like you want a Reo. A huge plus versus a Provari is that they will survive just about anything you throw at it. Plus you get 6ml of juice that lasts most of us all day, no need for refilling and fiddling!

Think your right need durability and consistency

I'll counter the above statement that a Provari can handle any abuse that a Reo does.

There are testamonials in the Provari forum of Provari's run over by a dump truck, falling one story onto concrete, falling out of a pocket on a speeding motorcycle and bouncing several time down the highway, getting dunked in a swimming pool or being lost in a river for an entire day, and going through a wash cycle in a pair of pants. In each case the Provari's continued to work. The only story where a Provari fell short was when run over by a lawn mower...and you should have seen the blade.

You can put a 6 ml cartotank on a Provari if you so wish, a Reo has nothing on a Provari as far as juice capacity. Get a large capacity all-metal tank and you're good to go.

With a Reo, you better enjoy a dripper because that is all it can do. Atomizer, cartomizer, Reomizer RDA. That's it.

With a Provari, you can use all those and more. Atomizers, cartomizers, cartotanks, clearomizers, clearotanks, RBA's, RDA's. The Provari offers more variety and does them all equally well.

The Reo is a mechanical mod - no meters or built-in protection. The Provari being a regulated mod, you can adjust the voltage to ohm and taste. A Reo's performance will gradually and steadily fall as the battery voltage drops. A Provari will keep the voltage you set from the beginning of a battery until the end. It also has built-in protection, a Reo does not. It has built-in battery and ohm meters, the Reo does not.

I went the bottom feeder route. Granted, not the quality of a Reo mod, but a less expensive one. I enjoy mine often. But I love to change flavors 3 -4 times a day. You're sort of stuck with one flavor with a bottom feeder. You have to open the mod up and remove the tank and replace with another. Then close the mod back up. Maybe doesn't sound like much trouble, but compared to just changing flavors with different cartotanks on a tube mod its a pain.

Both are US-made and the manufacturer will back their product as long as you own it. They are the top mods in their respective class. It all boils down to : Are you only a dripper?

The Provari is built like a tank, ask anyone who has one they'll tell you what kind of abuse it can survive. One plus to a Provari over a RG is consistency, you'll get a great vape when the battery is full and the exact same great vape when the battery is about to die. No mechanical can say that.

I have both, started with a couple Provari's shortly after I started vaping. I started dripping to try out my DIY juice and to my surprise I loved dripping, but hated carrying a bottle around, etc. so I stared looking into bottom feeders. Since May I've bought 3 Reo's and I don't use my Provari that much anymore. For my lifestyle/job they work much better for me.

Hassle free dripping is the biggest selling point for me, and they don't roll off of the table/desk (that may seem stupid to some people but I'm really klutzy). They were my first mechanical so I was worried about the battery drop off, I wrap my coils at 1-1.2 ohm and I don't notice too much of a change until about 3.7-3.8 V.

Either way I'm sure you'll be happy. Check out the sub forums, there's a lot of info and enthusiastic owners in both. Good luck

They're both rugged, commercial-duty grade mods. The REO Grand is a mechanical mod which you're used to. The Provari is a regulated mod, which you're also used to.

Here's a picture of a 6 ml + 18650 REO Grand next to an 18350 Provari Mini.

Now imagine a full-size 18490 Provari, with the extra cost 18650 extension, and a Hippo ring and a 5 ml HyperTank.

Which do you want to carry in your back pocket at work?

I'd say get both. I don't think you can go wrong either way but hear ya on the vape budget thing but the holidays are just around the corner. You can get one mod now and request another for xmas? :vapor: I got the Provari mini last week and LOVE it. I will be getting the REO next, as soon as they respond back to my color request.
