I'll echo what most here said. You win with either.

I'll also address a few things I didn't see answers for.

You said you like the a7, was my fav rda before getting the REO Grand and RM2. In the Reo sub forum there was discussion of issues using an a7 with the REO, so I got the RM2. No regrets there. RM2 performs better imho then the a7, and gives you a bit more room to work.

You can still use cartos on the REO if you choose to, they work with the bottom feed just fine. LR are probably a better bet. I've never been a carto fan, so better to defer to Bad or that cats input on how well they work.

Seen a mention of RDAs needing more maintenance, while true to some extent, my last coil/wick setup (0.8ohm flat kanthal + 2mm silica wick) lasted me 6.5 weeks. So don't really consider needing to wrap a new coil every month or two as much in the way of fiddly.

I think they corrected the problem with the A7, I've been using my fairly recently purchased A7 on my REO the whole day without issues (the positive post doesn't wobble)

Love the RM2, but I felt like vaping with vertical SS Mesh today so gave the a7 a revisit

So many people here have both, so that alone tells you something. It really comes down to how you like to vape. I just got a reo after about 6 weeks of clearos and carto tanks. Now I don't own a provari, but have used them and they are a very nice pv. You can really feel the quality once it's in your hand, and it is a real consistent vape.

Since I discovered micro-coils I don't like to vape any other way. I did drip with my igo-l and tridents and was ok with that, but carrying around juice bottles was a pain. The reo was MY perfect solution, It has performed flawlessly for my needs and i couldn't ask for anything more.

If you use carto's or clearo's or higher ohm coils provari would be your go to. If you're a dripper and like messing around with coils then I would suggest a reo, in the end you will probably get both.

I have both, and use both everyday. Is one better than the other? It's kind of an apples to oranges comparison. In my opinion they are both super durable, reliable mods. The Reo requires a little more attention due to changing wicks and coils, but I like that sort of thing. My Provari has a 5 ml J-tank on it so the capacity is similar, but I only have to change my carto once or twice a month.

Either way the OP goes, they will be getting a great mod.

Once or twice a month? You must be an extremely light vaper, vape unflavored, or while being the most interesting man in the world, be the most lucky lol.

Actually, the secret is to use the best cartos on the planet. IKV 801 Fusions. I put about 3 ml of my DIY Snickerdoodle through it every day. Some days more, some days less.

Before I got my Reo I was using IKV 801s exclusively, and got 32 days out of one of them.

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ikenvape/419655-25-days-counting.html

But on average its about 7-14 days before I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to change my carto. Don't get me wrong, there have been times when I've had to change my carto after a day or two, but usually I do it twice a month.

I should also mention that my carto use has dramatically declined since I got my Reo, and into rebuildables. I run a rotation of 4 different devices on a daily basis.

    1. Reo Grand with RM 2
    2. Provari with IKV 801 in J-Tank
    3. EHPro EA clone with RSST
    4. NES DNA20 with whatever I happen to put on it (Usually another J-tank or maybe an Igo-L)

Thanks for the explanation friend, see when I put down cartos a while back I used boges exclusively. The whole bogegate thing happened and I was discouraged. I sold all my carto tanks except for a custom Butters phiniac due to sentimental reasons, plus the fact I doubt anyone would want to be reminded of me every time they vape lol, maybe I'll try the ikenvape to give my phiniac life again, or a Diver. Off topic the rm2s are awesome.
