I pulled the locks out of mine as soon as i got them. I couldn't stand the lock.

Same here. I never found the need to use them and only remembered they existed when I would accidentally turn them on.

I've been thinking about doing this with one of mine for a while now. It's really bad and happens more than not with my black Ano LP Grand. Maybe I'll toss a heavy duty contact pin in it at the same time. I'm really excited to see these new metals coming to life. Since getting a couple of the last Woodville runs, I really like the side button trigger finger fire. Feels more natural. Anxious to see how the new safety works!

I use the locks on mine everyday when I slide my grands into the pockets inside my purse. I don't think I'd ever carry them in my purse or pocket if they had no lock.
same here.....although I don't go out often, I used to and still should lock it at night, just in case it should fall or something fall on it. Kinda overkill probably, which is why I"ve slacked up on it, but still not a bad idea.

I like to live on the edge. Really, the shorts i wear everyday have a perfect pocket for a reo. No need to lock it as it doesnt move around. Love my dickies.

Yeah, no worries for me as well. When I pocket a REO it's in the side leg pocket of my jeans.

I learned to try to remember to lock if I rebuild on the mod and when I rewick. I've ruined a few coils and scared the crap outta myself forgetting.
I just try to always remember to take the battery out til I'm ready to pulse it. Locking it works but I just like having the batt out completely

Hmmmm....I never lock my Grand before I put it in my front pant pocket but then again, the button is on the top. Not sure I would feel comfortable putting a side button Reo in there without turning it off.

Not sure I like the idea of having to lift the door....AND it is all about me

Been wonderin about you and how you're liking the new job and livin in Texas....... ya need to come in the lounge and tell us all about it!

The new job has been very very busy, this company revolves around extremely tight schedules and dead lines. Testing and building rocket engines has been awesome so far. Can't wait until I can experience my first launch party and witness what I've had my hands all over fly into space. I'm working so many more hours than I ever did while I served in the military. It's kinda like working a deployment schedule everyday, but at the end of that day I get to go home. $$ has been good as I've been dedicating a lot of hours to my new job. My family wishes the hours were better, but at the same time understand this is what I want to do and support me 100%. My last pay check I logged in 142 hours. 80 regular hours and 62 overtime hours. I work 6 days a week, mostly 10 to 12 hours a day. Except for the first weekend in November, I requested that weekend off because me and my wife finally found a house in Hewitt. We've been staying in hotels since August when we moved here. The house in Hewitt is in a really nice subdivision and is within walking distance of my son's school. There is a really nice park nearby too, and the neighborhood is quiet. I so can't wait to move in to the house and finally get to relax. I have a lot of co workers that live in temple, we thought about checking out temple if we weren't able to find a place where we wanted to be. I have a friend I went to high school with that lives there. I'm trying to get him recruited over to SpaceX also. Anyway, Texas has been good...lots of rain lately. We got 6 3/4 inches the first day of the storm, and around 4 inches the next day. I'm sure you've experienced the same weather as were only 30 minutes away from each other. I'm hoping the weather lets off the weekend we move into the house. Who do you recommend for a electric company? I'm sure the company's service the same areas. I think for water it's just Hewitt city water. I was told I could choose any electric company as long as it serves my area. The property manager told me they are using Encore. I've never heard of them, wondering if you have?

I like it. It's definitely an improvement in ergonomics. I wish the walls were thinner. While I love that my REO can survive a car running it over, I really only need it to survive a good drop.

Rob, have you considered using sheet aluminum and bending that around a mold then welding pre-cut end caps on either end. Thicker piece for the top for the 510,top button, and magnets. It would really slim things down. Still use a sliding door that would have to be smaller.

Just an idea.....

Wow, just saw this for the first time. REAL nice design, Rob! Count me in for one when they hit the street!

I know the answer, but gotta ask anyway - can I get it in GITD?
Hello Dave nice to see you in forum . Glow in the dark we will see my friend

I like the heft of my GrandLP and have dropped mine an awful lot with zero damage. I liked my Innokin VTR for the weight but it died after 3 drops to the floor. No offense but a bent, welded sheet aluminum Reo would be like a travel trailer compared to a stone castle.:)

Really looking forward to the P 67 Rob. Thank you for sharing the prototype pics!

Just Love the design and form factor. Love the design on the interior as well. Love how you kept the straight edge on the rounded parts where the button is. Looks very sturdy! Just Freakin Awesome!:hubba:

Maybe put a procupine with REO under it on that empty space on the top.:w00t:

Looks like my twin LP hammatime Grands will need to share, I think this one will be perfect! Both of my grands have given me endless use over the past 6 months with just a change out to the new 510's. I use them both heavily, I use one during the day, one at night and that same one on the weekends.

It is a great piece of mind having them and they have kept me off the analogs.

One P67 Green Hammatime Plllleeeeeeaaaassseeeeee!!!!:nun:
