The safest way to eliminate the minimal voltage drop from the spring would be to solder the spring were it is riveted together .You would gain back that almost unnoticeable drop and retain the safety of the spring . I will never make a mod without a spring its not worth the risk .

What I can do is make some of these springs up for people that want them . The only problem I can think of is what to call them
Thank You

That just means you haven't dialed in the perfect coil once you do you wont notice the drop and feel the need to change your battery . I run my batteries down to 3.5 at times and don't notice

Don't want to argue with the mod father but that would mean I don't feel the difference from 4.2v to 3.5v and with 6 years under my belt I can assure you I can.

Yes 1 ohm build for the past 2 years.2ohm builds 2 years prior on vv mods. I've tried leas at .5-.8 and way too hot at 4.2v.

I have my days were I need more don't get me wrong but its hard to dial in the perfect coil . To me the perfect coil is a little to hot in the morning which is why I never change my battery until I have been awake for a couple hours . Maybe I am wrong but I believe there is a coil for most of us that will get you through the day on one battery .

Let me try this again Sometimes I wish I had Papas gift to get my point across with the written word .
I run a 1.1 ohm coil and life is dandy gets me through the hole day no battery change required .
If I make a 1.3 or a 1.2 ohm coil I will enjoy it for a couple hours and I always have to switch out the batteries .
And of course I have those days were no matter what I do I want more its not the norm though

Just to play devils advocate here...it struck me that the same people who are concerned with the voltage drop from having a screw-attached spring - are the same people most likely to "drop" the spring - by running very low subohm. See what I mean?
They may also be able to solder in their own replacement I suppose...

Me, not worried - current Reo is efficient enough for how I vape, and I've never needed my spare spring (came close once, but that's the danged Chalice cap's fault).
:D

I hear what your saying.. I'll give it a go with one less wrap on my next build and see if I can handle 4.2-4v.. be fine when it gets to 3.8v I'm sure.

:evil:Okay, so don't snicker but just a question, was a side sqounk hole design ever considered? Great for lefties & righties !

Could but then we're taking from someone else's design. I vape either hand and mostly left handed while I'm right handed. Squank with whatever digit is closest.

Ok, just my 2 cents here. I *loved* my grands...until I got the 2015 Woodvils. Between the side fire-button, the new adjustable 510, and the more rounded form, I honestly haven't enjoyed my grands as much ever since. These, however, look to be the epitome of what I'm looking for. The rounded form factor, the side fire-button, adjustable 510, AND, no howards monthly maintenance.

Every time I settle into "I've got all I need" mode, Robert comes up with something even better. *sigh* It's okay, though, I never really wanted that yacht I was saving for anyway.

Of course, now that HRH vapes a REO too, looks like I'll need multiples of these. Maybe I can convince her to stick with the woods, and "get by" with buying just 2 of these P67's.....but I desparately want to know where "P67" came from! First time I saw it, I immediately thought of the old P-38 can openers.
