for some reason it wont heat up either of my bottom feeder attys....the contact pin pushes the battery down to the spring and everything
Do you have the adjustable 510 in your grand? If so its just a simple adjustment... Can you post a pic of the top of your 510?

I posted this originally in the lounge thread and thought I should post it here as well...

It is true that the Reo Grand was designed for use with the AW battery in mind, as Rob has said on multiple occasions. I will add that at the time the grand was designed, AW button tops were the only "tried and tested" quality unprotected battery on the market and I believe that played a very large part in that decision. All others were protected or had "fire" in the name which wasn't good at all... AW makes a 3000mAh flat top battery now, but all others are button top unless you go with a protected, which was designed to use in a regulated device.

It is also true that you can use a flat top battery in the grand also. Yes, (the throw will be slightly longer), but I would doubt there is anyone that can actually tell the difference because it is so minimal.

The current go to battery for me is the LG HG2, as the specs work best for my vape preferences, (<.5Ω). This may not apply to others here. A battery is as subjective as the atty one uses or the build inside... What one person sees or describes as MTL or DLH is far different than what others will experience. It is something you have to experience for yourself and recommendations might be far from what you expected... What works for others might not or will not work for others. This is where the most money is wasted in vaping for everyone.

I will leave it at that as that is a whole other topic of discussion...

 YOU EVEN SUGGESTED PAINTING A WOODVIL?
tar and feather him!!!

dancin........I dunno. Pretty sure Rob bakes his paint on. I would you think you could, and if I did it, I'd definitely use spray paint, making sure to tape off the 510 inside and out really well, but.......I don't know how well the paint would hold up. Hopefully someone will have tried that and know. Might be a Rob question

Look, it's just a spare door. No need for everyone to panic. I just want to paint a spare metal door blue.
    I haven't had to re-paint yet.
If I did, I'd strip it with paint stripper. (there are strippers designed for aluminum)
Lightly sand with high grit wet/dry paper.
Apply a durable, quality spray paint. Several light coats.
If the original finish is smooth, you might be able to skip the stripping, and just sand to scuff up the surface.
Try not to have too much paint build up along the edges. It may keep the door from sliding easily.

Acrylic enamel, ok. The door isn't exactly painted. But, it has some kind of gunk on it from whatever was supposed to be on it. So, stripper first for me.

I just have to have a blue door. Actually I want a blue REO. But, spray paint is all I can afford, for now.

Get the tube in the bottle cap first. Clockwise screwing (depending on the tides of course) works, but it's a deliberately tight fit to stop leaks. From inside the cap to out is easier btw.

Slide the bottle cap to the botton of your tube, because next, you want to get the long end on the nipple in the Reo and having a bottle cap in the way is annoying. With me so far or having a hot flash?
I find that pushing the tube straight on the Reo works. Finally hold the tube at the bottom of the Reo, where your bottle cap now is and spin the cap up to about an inch from the top, so you can then just screw the bottle on! While every instinct is to pull on the tube - and i know your marriage history - resist!

TL;DR tube thru cap, cap down, tube on Reo, cap up, screw on bottle.

I dry burned and rewicked a Manta, this afternoon, tested it (all perfect) and put it on a Woodvil that I haven't used in 8 or 9 months. New battery, squonk, press button, nothing. Put manta on different Woodvil. Press button, yummy vapor. Changed battery on first mod and tried again. Nothing. Loosened (raised) little gizmo that manta screws in and tried again. Nothing. Tightened it (lowered) and still nothing. It looks like pushing the button makes the strike plate (if that's the thing the button hits on the inside) hit the "L" shaped thing. But no hiss/sizzle/vapor. Does anyone have any ideas, or is it off to the spa? As you have undoubtedly gathered, I'm not very mechanically inclined... Thanks!
