Replacement coils for KangerTech Evod2?

So, I'm down to a couple of replacement coils that came with my Kangertech Evod2 starter kit and I wanted to stock back up.. but now I'm completely overwhelmed. I know it was a 5 pack and I know that they're dual coils. I THINK they are 1.5 ohm (even though I have no idea what that means). So what is the difference in 1.5/ 1.8/ 2.0./ etc ohm? What should I get? What will it change if I get something other than 1.5 (if that's really what I already have?!)

Yes, I'm obviously still very new at this. I got a starter kit and some juices and I've been vaping my heart out. That's about as far as I've gotten.

Increasing the ohms means increasing the resistance. Less current will flow through the wire. Basically, it will vaporize cooler but could possibly produce less vapor. If you like the current temperature and vapor production that your device is currently giving you, then don't change the resistance. Normally, I would say it's not as big a deal if you had a variable voltage/wattage battery that you could adjust, but I don't think that comes with the evod. So if nothing else, play it safe and keep the same ohms.

I think the resistance is printed on your coils. It might be very hard to see so you might have to put it up to a light with a magnifying glass.

It depends on the battery you are using with the EVOD2 tank. If it's the 650mA battery (starter kit) then stick with 1.5 ohm dual coils. If you are going to use a stronger battery like a Vision Spinner or Spinner II then go with 1.8 ohm coils. There is no need to go with higher ohms since the starter kit battery isn't strong enough for anything over 1.8 ohms.

If you keep it below 4.2 ohms you can roll with a 1.8-2ohm coil no problem.

Evod 2 comes with a dual coil atty--so I'd advise to keep it ABOVE 4.2 VOLTS. :)

Hi Samantha? What kind of battery do you have? Set regulated voltage (3.3v)? Unregulated 3.7v? Variable voltage?

There are three kinds of Kanger dual coils that will fit your eVod: V1--with whiskers (), upgraded enclosed with 2 holes on each side (4 holes total), and upgraded with 1 slot on each side (2 slots total). They all work fine. Just make sure they are authentic and come in box with a scratch code--when in doubt, go to Kangertech website and verify the code. If they are fake, send them back to the vendor. Oh, and be very careful if/when buying from ebay...

They also come in different resistances--you don't have to stick to the 1.5Ω if you have a variable voltage battery.

Oh, they will not last 2-3 weeks without cleaning, especially if you're using dark or sweet juices. There are many good tutorials on YouTube showing step-by-step how to clean Kanger coils.
