I have to do some mixing and recipes call for TA. There is none to be found. What would be a good sub for it? I am mixing Tribeca Clone. My first attempt at mixing it was just Ry4 double and AP. I wasn't impressed and set the bottle away. Low and behold, after a couple of months I tried it yesterday and it was fantastic. Thanks a lot.

And this is why I bought 10 8ml bottles of TA when everyone was talking about it getting scarce. Problem is not that it's hard to get but everyone including vendors have been in a panic buying up every drop. The same thing been happening with TFA tangerine it's ALWAYS out of stock and surprisingly bacon is currently out of stock at WL which is extremely puzzling. I've been waiting over a month to get my hands on the elusive tangerine.

I don't even use the TA much but one day my reserve could be worth millions.

I have some TA but the good guy that I am, when I saw this thread I went to the TFA site to see if it was available and I don't see TA listed there anymore. Are they discontinuing it? It seems like I remembered reading something about that awhile back but couldn't find it.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I don't see Tangerine listed there anymore either, that's odd

They have discontinued the TA. I'm not sure about the tangerine. I do have an 8ml bottle of the very thick (like tar) TA that I've used very little of. My concern is as it will last me years I'm worried about how long it will keep.

Thanks Danny, I thought I remembered reading something about them discontinuing it a little while back. I just found it again. From TFA's site:

Tobacco Blend (PG)
The day has come. Tobacco Blend (PG) is officially out of stock.
The ingredient - Tobacco Absolute - that we used to make it from has been indefinitely revoked and we can not acquire it in large quantities any longer.
We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we assure you that we feel your pain!

Cheers,
Steve

I picked up 30ml fromMFS.Thanks Space. I mixed some with everclear about 4 years ago. I might try using it in a 3ml sample and see how it works.

Just in case you are still interested, the TA blend is available at Wizard Labs. I just picked up 2 bottles myself.

I've ran across this before and was very tempted. Have you or anyone tried this stuff?

Hoosier was the one who had mentioned it in another thread.

Yep, it's Rustica, not Virginia like the TA that TPA/TFA sold, so it tastes different. Less grassy and darker.
It's the grassy note in TA that I love. I'm going to be sad if the TFA TA disappears forever. :( The taste I get when mixing pure TA with FA Virginia is that of the smell of a fresh opened pack of my favorite cigs. It's my primary vape and has been for over 3 years. I've yet to find any tobacco that matches it. I do not like nutty tobaccos at all.

Just got an email from Wizard Labs that TPA's tobacco absolute is back in. Is it not the original stuff?

I'm not sure what tobacco is used for the TFA TA, but if Hoosier says it's a Virginia leaf extract, I trust him. ;)

Also, the TFA TA that Wizard, MFS, and ECX sell is actually a diluted blend of extract, EM, and PG.

The real deal TA is made from Bulgarian tobacco leaf, Nicotiana Tabacum. There is also a TA extract that comes from France, which is made from Nicotiana Rustica. Still very potent stuff, but it is slightly different. The TA from Azure that I linked earlier is the original TA, but it is already diluted to 50% with PGA. Even at 50%, it is still too strong to be used at more than a drop or 2 per 10ml of finished juice.

and this time they've removed the entry from the flavor lineup.

John told me they have other potential sources they would likely add once the TFA stuff was fully depleted. I expect something to be in the works and I would not worry to much. There is just to much demand for them to simply not carry it anymore. I was going to buy truck load of the stuff and sell to the highest sucker.. er bidder (better then hording it right?) but was advised against it.
