Replacing the battery in a battery

My KR808D1's are working just fine. But some time in the future I suppose the battery will
go bad. My question is are these batteries replaceable? Is it worth trying to replace? I can get a new
battery (switched or automatic) for under 10 bucks, but If the battery inside the battery ( maybe I'm using the wrong terminology here)
can be replaced cheaper it might be worth tinkering inside the battery to try?

I don't think so, but I'm not all that familiar with the 808. If it is possible, someone will come along and let you know.

This is one of the reasons people buy models such as the E-Power or GLV2. The batteries are non-proprietary like the mini-808, can be purchased at battery stores, etc and cost around $4.00.

Hi mate,
I understand what you're saying, and it is possible to do but you'd need to consider the following...
1. You'd need to be excellent with a soldering iron.
2. you'd need to find a Li-Ion battery cell that will fit and I'd assume you'd want same or better battery life.
(dunno where you get one)
3. You'd need to figure out a way to recharge the device once you've replaced the cell. A different cell will require a different spec charger yet still have the kr808D-1 thread.

So, what you want to achieve can be done but it's way easier and cheaper to spend the 10 bucks IMHO.

+1 wv2win. No they are not. Like many of the PVs you'll have to discard the entire tube.
