I'm not much help either on this subject. I thought about doing this as well. My concerns with this idea are:
Manufacturing differences (even between 2 Joye attys) like the center hole in the ceramic pot. I've had 2 different sizes out of 3 destroyed.. err.. I mean.. Disassembled atty's.
I imagine changing attys would be a pain.
You'd have to stick with the same type atty. No switching from a 510 - 901.
More chance of leaking out of the battery connector.
There were a couple more but I forgot.

I don't like the idea of an external tube either but I think I can live with it if properly designed so the tube runs up against the atty itself. I'll be working on my idea's for that when I find a tubing I like.

I just want a basic scetch on how a bottom fill mod is put together.

I like the idea of juice storage, but don't like the little hose that feeds the cart in most juice boxes.

Any advise from those that have made/used bottom fill would also be appreciated.

Thin brass tube (1/16" o.d.???) - Actually I think it does matter what connector you're going to be using as the hole size might vary. I guess what I'm saying is - I don't know much! If nothing else, free bump!

Just an FYI: If you use a 1/16" (.0625") bottom feeder tube it will not go through the bottom hole on the NHaler LR (Low Resistance) atomizers.

Bummer.. eh? :(

I know these tubes are very small and all, but the last guy gave me an idea... what if you made it somewhat tapered? I know you wouldnt be able to taper it much.. but put it in a lathe or drill press or whatever, and shape the tip into a point.. it would allow for a little more variance in atty hole sizes

when i back feed my atties i use a bottle like this:

l_084038203_1.jpg

i bought 3 of them on ebay for about $14 delivered. it easily clears the hole on my RN's and DSE attys.

if i was going to make a bottom juice feed, i'd probably drill a tiny hole in the ceramic pot to feed juice to the coil too. filling the mesh in the atty from the battery side works fine, but without a hole to take it up to the coil, i still have to put a drop topside.

You don't need to drill any hole. The existing air passage in most atties goes all the way up from the battery connector right to the coil. If you stick a needle up through the bottom hole on a 510 (for example), you can go all the way up and hit the coil. That's true on most atty designs.

what if you made it somewhat tapered?

Why faff about.. as with most things in life just use something the right size.

I'm sure that petercro only uses filed 1/16 as thats what he had to hand at the time.

An 18 gauge blunt syringe needle fits a 901 (found in ink jet refills.. or from some ejuice suppliers) brass is easier to work with so the right size for a 510 (as the hole is a bit bigger) is 1.5mm OD
