Dear Fellow Rebels,

I started vaping a few days ago..so my gear is the eGo C4 (the automatic battery) fitted with a CE6 clearomizer. I spent the entire day yesterday reading on the forum and I was advised in another thread (vaping and drinking) to upgrade my gear in order to fit my needs and i'm planning to order from FT the following as an upgrade:

1. VAMO V5 (but I'm a bit concerned with the threading issue, so I' considering ordering the iTaste SVD as a backup).
2. Protank (three of them)
3. Vivi Nova (five of them)
4. iClear 30S (three)
5. CE6 (five)

As a newbie I am not entirely sure I am making the right decisions..so your assistance is sorely needed. Is this a good configuration? Are the quantities exaggerated for someone who's barely starting? It would be great if I can order my stuff from one place that can ship the package to my country...any recommendations?

appreciate your assistance

Consider the MVP. It is an easy device to start on and the battery last forever. Search MVP owners forum for all the fanboy praise. I would also recommend trying one each of the tanks. The are all good but they are different and you will decide quickly what you like best. I was looking at the SVD but went MVP due to cheaper cost of ownership and great reviews. Very happy with it.

Greetings Tamer, welcome to the forum.

Between the Vamo and the SVD, you are totally covered in terms of a decent APV 'battery pack.'

And between Pro Tank (are you getting a PT2 or PT3?), the Vivi Nova, etc, you'll have a good selection of decent clearomizers.

One question; which Viva Nova are you getting? It's a little confusing, because there is the original Vision Vivi Nova top coil clearo, and now there is the Anyvape Aspire Vivi Nova botton dual coil clearomizer -- these are entirely different designs, and they're both worth trying.

Good luck and happy vaping!

-- Glenn

PS: For your Vamo and SVD, have you found a source for decent batteries, e.g. AW or EFest, etc? Are you familiar with Li-Ion battery safety, which is really important? If not, check out some of ECF resources like the following blog: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/5163-12-deeper-understanding-mod-batteries-part-i.html

I would drop the quantity of each tank until you figure out what you love. I used to like Protanks but got sick of so many bad heads and I dont rebuild. I switched to the iClear30s as my tank of choice and cannot gush enough love about it. The heads are pricier, but Im finding that they take quite nicely to a good vodka soak and dry burn.

I ordered a ton in the beginning too :) You will have a great assortment of different toppers and such to rotate flavors and you are following the rule of backing up your back ups! :D

Backing up my back ups is the first lesson taught in here :). The only downside is that it's easy to exaggerate. :)

I was debating the Vamo when I started vaping also. I didn't get it, I got the sigelei zmax v3. My friend bought the Vamo instead and he's been through three of them and I'm still using the same sigelei. That is the mod I recommend to everyone. It's the best thing I did when I started vaping. Here's one for $50 (link below)otherwise go with the itaste before the Vamo. Have you watched PBusardos video on the itaste, Vamo and sigelei? If not start watching.

As far as the tanks go I would slow down and buy one of each. Your not going to like some of them and be stuck with tanks you don't like. How about buying one of each but more variety. Try several different pro tanks. Try the evod and aspire bcc. There's so many good tanks out there to try.
As for buying it all at one place.......good luck with that. Its possible I guess but not likely.

I have only been vaping for about 2 months but i started out with itaste mvp v2 and an itastevv v3 i dont use the mvp much anymore but i carry the vv everywhere. It is small and light and it lasts me all day. In the event it does run low i like the charging plug is the same as my cell phone. I tend to not use the mvp anymore at home since i bought some rbas rtas and use them with mech mods. But i have it on my desk and use it when rebuilding coils.

Looks like a pretty extensive line up of tanks but I don't see any replacement heads listed for any of them - make sure you order a sufficient number of replacement heads (If you are going to order from fasttech only I would get 15-20 of each style so you have back ups for the long wait from fasttech)

Here is the zmax3 mentioned above - I got mine from fasttech and am pleased with the quality of it - I also have 2 Vamo v2 that 1 has the 510 threads stripped so I use ego threaded clearos on it - a mini vivi nova beauty ring on the other helps prevent me from over tightening my 510 threaded tanks and stripping it out also

$40.42 Authentic Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic Variable Volt/Watt Mod - flat top / stainless / improved version with removable head at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

as far as batteries are concerned get IMR, AW, Efest, Panasonic, or Sony batteries. DO NOT get any batteries that have "fire" in the name and get a good charger (I use a nitecore i2 intellicharger). Make sure you get enough batteries (4 minimum) and cheaper is NOT the way to go.

hope this info helps

Very good advice already in this thread--I don't have much to add. I do agree that there are better choices than Vamo, IMHO. If you want an APV with replaceable batteries, Sigelei Zmax and the SVD are both very good choices. If you want in internal battery, The MVP can't beat for convenience and features it offers.

As for toppers--I wouldn't orded 5 ViVi Novas myself. Get one or two and see how you like it. The same goes for other heads that come with replaceable coils--get one or two of each and some extra coils and see how you like them first. Technology changes daily, literally, and you don't want to get stuck with a drawerful of aging tanks...

And heed Peraspera's advice--place several smaller orders in case there's trouble with customs, either in China or in Egypt.

Good luck and happy vaping.

This! Slow down! Hahaha. You'll find as you start really getting into it that your preferences might change and you'll find something that really works for you. Also, you might not need that many tanks, period. In the beginning, you'll want to sample a lot...but the end game is probably going to look more like a few juices that you really love. Maybe an ADV, ABV (all beer vape) and perhaps a few that you like to sip on regularly. You don't *need* to be able to sample 14 flavors at once...a few will do, I'm sure.

One other thing to think about is the differences in atomizers you'll need to support. It will likely get old getting 4-5 different atomizers, so looking to consolidate as much as possible is a good thing.

I slightly disagree with the Kanger setup, but then again, I rebuild my coils...so that's probably the main difference of opinion.

I'm in the same boat as you Tamer. Started on ego c4 and then picked up the itaste 3.0 VV which I like much better. Just wondering what I might step up to next. Not interested at this time in any thing other than off the shelf and ready to vape. I've been looking at the Lavatube and the innokin vtr or mvp. Any suggestions appreciated.

The MVP is widely popular and well liked. So, if you don't mind the box shape (some people do), I'd suggest the MVP. If you want an APV with replaceable batteries, the Sigelei Zmax (version 3 and up) and the SVD seem to be leading the pack right now. :)

And then there is the ProVari. :D

Thank you guys for your advice. It seems to me that MVP is perfect for a beginner like me. After reading about the battery thing (thanks Glenn) i was really concerned about making the right choice and finding the right battery. Besides, a mistake with operating these batteries can have serious repercussions. The MVP seems to be user friendly and generally well liked as Katya and Wildman indicated. I will follow the advice of parcelling my order as Peraspera suggested. Chances are the MVP and the coils will pass through the customs unnoticed since they look "innocent and inconspicuous" compared to the tanks.

I have the VAMO V5. Quit smoking 3 days ago, and this thing is my life line. I do have a back-up on order just in case I run the thing over with a car, but it was recommended by several guys that have been vaping for years as a good starter, and I love it so far.

Vamo is a perfectly good mod--just big. And it has a face. :D

Seriously, the V5 Vamo is great--if you don't mind the size. It's a great starter--just make sure you get the right charger and batteries to go with it.

Good luck and welcome!

+1 for iTaste SVD

SOOOOO GOOOOD

I got this iTaste SVD starter kit from VaporBeast a bit ago (VaporBeast has AWESOME customer service and really fast shipping) and I have not ever been disappointed with it. Before, I had an ego Twist with some ce4 tanks and the amount of problems I had with those was tedious.

One thing that was mentioned elsewhere in this thread was that with a new SVD kit and an iclear 30 - you NEED replacement heads because some of them arrive as duds (not sure why this is). Once you get the right fit though, it's a dream. Cleaning is easy. Battery maintenance is easy. Chain vaping is easy. It's a beast, but I love how much power and comfort it offers.

Just my two cents.
