After giving my black chrome YJ what I consider a fair and valid testing cycle, I've come to the conclusion that its PWM circuit isn't quite ready for prime time. While my LT 1.5 (L-Rider, or Uniq - who knows) performs perfectly - nice, uniform vape, voltage consistent to the end, smooth and pleasing - the YJ is harsh, unpredictable, and just generally more trouble than it's worth.
Although the YJ has some nice qualities, most notably its fit and finish, the uneven voltage delivery is, for me, just unacceptable. Unlike the Provari, which apparently uses a decent filter to smooth out its peaks and valleys, the YJ is all over the place, and the result is very discernible in the final output. Too bad, 'cause I really wanted to like it.
For now I'm sticking with the old, trusty 1.5. The YJ ego connector was nice, and I'll miss it, but since I mostly use Vivi Novas these days it's not really a must-have.
RIP
