Picked up some cartomizers from local shop today, which were supossed to be single coil 2ohms. Filled my tank and new carto up and it wouldnt vape and was reading 1.0ohms so i take it back in real quick and he double checked it on his device and it again read 1.0ohm. So bad carto right? Well he gave me another one and it read 1.8 ohms for about 5 minutes of vaping and then wasnt vaping anymore and was reading anywhere from 1.2ohms to 1.6.
So maybe this is a dumb question and i apologize for the extent of my post but it seems wierd to me, did i just get multiple bad cartos? Or is there anyway my device is frying them or something? Anyone have similiar experience? Input and help appreciated

Though it's hard to tell what the specific problem is I can tell you a few things to keep an eye on.

Firstly, and by far the most improbable, if you are running a MOD that pushes a high voltage or wattage you could be frying your coils right off the bat. But like I said, very improbable.

More likely it is the brand/age of the cartomizer. Resistance is specified by both the size and tightness of the wrapped coil. The cartomizer you are using may have been sitting for an unknown period of time, thusly the wrap of the coil is delicate/brittle and is being destroyed upon use.

Finally, the last likely culprit is improper saturation of the cartomizers filament. Whether dripping or priming the carto, make sure that it is fully saturated (not oversaturated, but better than undersaturated). This could cause the coils to heat and destroy the surrounding fibers without actually vaporizing the liquid, it then turns on itself and burns the coil out, resulting in dwindling resistance.

Again, it is hard to decipher the proper problem without knowning brand, style and MOD being used.
