Resistance Is Futile

Ok, I just purchased the V2 (Kr8081) system. I went to buy some empty cartos from another vendor to save money. Wasn't sure about the resistance, so I called V2cigs and asked. They told me it was about 3ohms. Some sites advertise them as LR, and everything inbetween. The site I ordered the 3ohm cartos from called me yesterday and said I ordered the wrong resistance for my V2 and that I should get the LR. After reading some of the posts here, I'm under the impression I could fry the batteries running LR cartos. Can someone chime in here? Been smoke free for 4 days!

If it is a slim ecig, you can only use SR (Standard Resistance) single coil cartos. SR might be marked SR, or they might just say 3.0 ohm. LR (Low Resistance) will be marked LR or 2.0 ohm. Do not use Dual Coil cartos on a slim ecig.

Bottom line, simply put, order SR or 3.0 ohm single coil cartos for a slim ecig.

The KR808D-1 cartos I use are closer to 2.5ohm (SINGLE COIL ONLY) which is the hot end of what should be put on a slim battery. I use V4L WOW cartos (around 2.5ohm - and hot on the lips - use a delrin or plastic drip tip as mouthpiece) and the Bloogplanet/SmokelessImage cartos (2.6ohm, less hot at lip end due to horizontal coil placement)

Slim batteries use 2.5 to 3 ohm single coil cartos. None of the dual coil cartos are safe to use on slim batteries because the only ones that would get warm at all are 1.5 and 1.6 ohm and that can be too must power drain for slim batteries and even some fat batteries.

If they fit you should still be able to use them, if something looks wrong when you get them then just send them back

Thank you all. I ordered 5 of the 2.5 and 5 of the 3.0. I'll try them both to see which work best for me. Six days of vaping like crazy!!!

I was told by IkenVape... I specifically said I had the KR8 type setup. Can I still use the 2.5 I ordered or will it trash my batteries?

You are fine with the 2.5ohm. It's a good vape.
