Resurrectors always get tight really quickly

So I'm on a quest to find the perfect carto seeing as the Boge 2.0's have been having problems lately.

I bought 15 of the Resurrectors from CCV. They're great on the initial fill, but within a day or so they tighten up to the point where they're almost unusable. Anyone know of any ways to prolong their demise or make it better?

I tried sticking a pin down in a few of them and it worked on one or two, the rest didn't respond. If you try and look down the middle of the cartos you can BARELY see light, if at all. This bothers me because the Boge's you could always see right through the center. I also tried making sure the air holes are clear, but the draw is tight even when they aren't screwed into anything so I'm pretty sure the problem lies inside somewhere.

I also tried blowing them out.. seemed to make it a hair better but nothing crazy.

These things seem like they have the potential to be great, but they gotta last longer than a day without issues..

mine also plugged up very fast, especially when using darker thicker juices. those cartos also have a tendency to condensate onto the battery post. i wouldnt recommend using them on an auto batt.

one thing you could try do is to not overfill the carto so the juice doesnt flow into the middle hole. not sure if that would help, just a thought.
(since they condensate anyway)

I've found that some juices clog a carto pretty fast. I couldn't make my cartos last much longer than a day or two before they would get tight and taste bad. I started using unflavored and very lightly flavored juices that I diy. This carto that I am using now, a resurrector from ccv, will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and still very usable and tastes good. I've only run my own clear juices through it and it hasn't been cleaned or poked with a needle. I'm very pleased :)

Exact same issue. I am lucky to get 2 - 3 days with 80% PG Geoffs Blend from Tasty Vapor. They are really good while they last though, and the new one I screw on reminds me time and time again just how good they are. The old one just goes in the bin. They are disposable as far as I am concerned.

...may be your problem right there...I have read reports of Geoffs Blend not playing well with cartos and attys...(like many cinnamon juices do)...........

DISCLAIMER: While I do this all the time, I have no idea if it'll work for anyone.

I also find that my Smok 1.7ohms get tighter quicker than my Boges (I use PinkSpot ~50/50 so I've heard, KBV 40/60 VG/PG, & Parkes 70/30 PG/VG) but it'll take at least 3-4 days at about 3ml/day. When they do get tight: I top them off, blow out the darker juice that's towards the bottom, top off again, blow out again, & continue until the juice is no longer darker than normal. However, this doesn't work too well with KBV's OMG, PinkSpot's Peanut Butter Cup, and any other really dark & sweet juices. This is what I do with these: I fire the carto for 15 seconds. This seems to thin out the gunked up juice in the core & will actually result in the juice becoming so warm that when I start taking hits, the juice will pull back up the filling and pool at the top a little. Mind you, your carto should be moist as heck to do this so you don't singe anything, but it works for me. Going on 2 weeks with one of my 1.7's filled with OMG, & that juice is a carto killer usually.

The two juices I've been using are Top Vapor Pineapple and AVE raf-a-licious. Rafalicious is pretty thick, but I usually compensate with some pineapple. Neither is dark or overly sweet. I've never had to clean a carto with a needle or anything - the boge's always "just worked". Even when clogged the Resurrectors still make plenty of vapor, it's just the draw is SUPER tight.

I also never get any down the center hole. When I was poking it with the needle, some "gunk" seemed to come out. It's too bad the Resurrectors don't have the size hole that the Boge's have.. if they did I feel like the potential to clog would be almost nothing and they actually would be the perfect carto.

With the Boge LRs I could almost always get at least 3 weeks to a month out of a carto. I'm not doing anything differently?

Cartos should just work!

Since it sounds like you're trying to switch it up, I wanted to ask if you've used Smoke Tech Duel Coil's yet?2.0 ohm XL Dual Coils | Sweet-Vapes E-Liquid

They're more expensive but I've found they tend to hold more juice so you don't have to top it off as much as compared to a Boge after a week. For me they seem produce smoother better hits longer without things getting "tight" as fast as Boge. Can't speak much on the Res's but now I really don't think I want to try them.

The 1.7 single coil (Resurrectors) and the dual coils have the same issues with the draw becoming tight. The other problem that happens is that the coil can't stay wet and you get a burnt filler taste when the draw is that hard. I have tried different things and found that filling with a syringe makes the problem worse if you stick the needle down too low or fill too fast. It basically forces the juice and filler at the bottom into the airway.

2 things that have worked for me:

Fill with syringe and needle staying on 1 side making sure that the needle is only half way down and you fill slowly. And I mean slowly. Basically, the same rate as dripping from the top. 1 ml per 30 seconds or so. Fill until the filler material just starts to look wet. If the juice is coming back up the air tube you filled too fast and the bottom is most likely clogged.

Drip fill and let sit. Drip about 25 drops into 1 side of the carto. It's important to drip in to 1 side so that air can get out through the other side of the filler material. Drip slow enough that only the 1 side of the filler is wet. After getting 25 drops in, let the carto stand upright for about 5 to 10 minutes then continue dripping into the same side. When the filler on the other side starts to wick juice up from the bottom the carto is full.

Using the methods above my cartos are not clogging up. I have 3 right now that are 7 days old and still working well. I almost gave up on the 1.7 and dual coils after I had about a dozen become useless after the first or second fill. But I like them a lot when they work so I tried a few things and found the methods above work for me.

Hope this helps.

Give these a look. The tanks seem to keep your carto live and hitting well longer than standard methods of filling. May be just the thing you need to fall in love with boge 2.0 again. Carto Tank Mods

These look interesting.. I've been wanting to try a carto tank but haven't got around to making one or punching my cartos. I placed and order for a tank and a replacement carto.. I've got lots of resurrectors, maybe I can get around to punching them. thanks for the link!

I do need to fall in love with the 2.0's again. If Boge ever gets them back to where they used to be, that'll absolutely happen. I was more than satisfied with them because they did everything they did VERY well and were cheap to boot. Before they went downhill I had NO desire to find anything else.

I really think its time for me to look into some NON-XL cartos. They always seem to do this crap - the dual coils were no different at all.

Anyone know of any good, not huge cartos? All the rage lately seems to be somehow related to juice capacity. I have no problem topping off 100x a day if the vape is thick, tasty and consistent.

The longest usage I got out of any cartos is 7-10 days max and no cleaning method suggested worked for me. 3 weeks really? They are made to be disposable is something to keep in mind. I wish they would make a carto that lasted forever. I think atomizers are longer lasting don't know because I love me some cartos. As far as the resurrectors they rock after you master the filling refilling and are cheap. Mine last about 5 days each.

My resurrector turned 3 weeks old today! I use my own diy clear juices and that makes all the difference! I used to only get 2 days max out of mine. I just refilled my 3 week old carto today and it's still well worth vaping. I know they are disposable but I'm not going to dispose of it till it gets to where it's not worth vaping. It's all in the juice!
