So about 3 years ago, I bought a "Smoke Anywhere???" from a mall because I needed it immediately. I used it pretty much exclusively for 3 weeks and stopped. The device was horrible. It had a built in stop that would only allow me to pull a couple hits every hour to 2. I was getting nowhere the amount I needed to sustain my nicotine levels. The other problem is the automatic draw system wouldn't activate unless I held my finger over the air hole to build pressure. I have smoked for 8 years now and despite several failed attempts to quit, I am ready try again. I went from 2 packs a few years ago down to about 18 cigarettes a day now.

I am a young professional who needs a device to fit my lifestyle. My plan is to get 2 devices, 1 larger (provari mini style) vaporizer, and 1 smaller pocket sized one. I cannot pull out something shade looking at work. I am planning to start on 24mg liquid and really liked the tobacco flavored one the "Smoke Anywhere" offered.

I will say this with reason "Money is no option". I spend about 3k a year on cigarettes (almost $8 a pack here) and have some disposable income. I would like to spend a couple hundred, but ideally no more than 600. I really need quality products that won't piss me off and if a cheaper or more expensive product can do that, great. Unfortunately anytime I look up brand specific reviews, all I find is what seems like marketing bs.

I like a good TH. I am highly technically inclined so simple or complex solutions shouldn't be a problem. Out of the patch, gum, cold turkey, and this, this seemed the most promising had it not been for the severe cravings.

Question:
-How many hits is equal to a cigarette? Is it 2 hit, 5 min, ...?
-How much liquid is equal to a pack a day?
-Does anyone have any favorite tobacco flavored liquids?
-Are reservoir setups worth it? (is a res a days worth or weeks worth)
-I was basically looking for 2 batteries for each model and a charger to support it. Do i need spare atomizers, etc?

Any other recommendations would be great. I have read through a lot of the guide section so far, but still more to go.

Hi, And welcome.
I am new to this forum as yourself, and to vaping, so I won't offer much of hardware recommendations.
I was a pack a day smoker until 2 weeks ago when i started vaping. I get a nice throat hit with 24mg liquids, and i go through about 2-3ml pr day at the moment.
How many hits will equal a cigarette might also be subjective, but if you are like I was, I only really needed the first half of the cigarette, but I finished them anyway. I still my craving with 3-5 hits, so i guess that is my equivalent to 1 cig.
Good luck, and hope you find what you are looking for, lots of info on this site.

From what I've gathered, about 8 to 10 puffs is equal to a cigarette with equivalent nicotine liquid.

1mL is 1 pack of cigarettes roughly, depending on the nicotine content of the liquid.

Boba's Bounty is a big name right now for tobacco flavours, though it's one of those hard to stock liquids.

Resevoir as in tanks? I have a vivi nova and I can easily burn through that 2mL in a day. It depends on how much you expect to vape but I much prefer tanks to cartos.

If you get cartomizers or clearomizers/tanks, you don't need atomizers for the battery, it becomes a 2 piece system. I would suggest picking up an eGo twist (eGo-C TWIST 1000mAh MEGA manual battery) and an eGo passthrough (Joye eGo-C 1000mAh USB pushbutton battery), 2 stardust clearomizers (Vision VERSION 2 clearomizer with replaceable atomizer) or 2 kanger T2s, about 30mL of liquid to start out with, and a charger (USB battery charger for Joyetech eGo, eGo-T or eGo-C and eGo TWIST e-Cigarette batteries - Genuine JoyeTech!). Starter kits may be cheaper and you may find a cheaper place to buy from, but those are my suggestions.

Welcome. I'm in a professional setting also. I have to wear a uniform with duty rig every day at work. I was a heavy smoker also. I've bought a lot of pv's and also a couple of apv's. The ones I decided to use at work are. As follows, An 400mah vision crystal, a 400mah vision spinner(I like the vv device). and I got a ITASTE. The itaste will get a lot of bads from some but so far after a week it's working just find. The connector (magnet) comes with a top on it so you can clip it to your pocket. It's small enough to carry easily and don't take up neat the room the vmax or larger twist or kgo's do. I'll try and send a couple of pics of what I carry. Sorry don't have a pic of the itaste on this comp but you can google it. 800mah battery and also a pass through. It works really great so far. Good luck and stay vaping.

Yea if you want stealth this is a great setup, also you might want a spinner instead of a twist like I suggested before due to a better dial on the bottom, but it's personal choice.

About 14 hits per cigarette.

-How much liquid is equal to a pack a day?
You really can't compare the two, most people use about 2 - 3 ml a day.

-Does anyone have any favorite tobacco flavored liquids?
Mine is RY4 and 555 from Iken Vape and Frisco and RY4 from The Vapor Station.

-Are reservoir setups worth it? (is a res a days worth or weeks worth)
I have plenty of extra batteries and rotate them, I only use cartomizers and have about 45 of them right now. I use about 2 a week, so these will last me a while.

If you're going to use atomizers, you need spare ones because they break down without warning.

Good luck!

The 400mah is a spinner and smaller than a twist. These old eyes cant see the little numbers on a twist. So I got both. So far the spinner is just as good as the 1000mah twist, just don't last as long. But I was talking about being at work and discrete.

If you want something that is not shade looking my I suggest an ECab, starter kit about $52.00. The device is about as large as a pen and a diameter of a little larger. Comes with 2 batteries, charger, 3 cart etc. Black looks sharp, hold about 1ml of juice. I have carried one in every position and it has not leaked. Many of times folks have picked it off my desk trying to write with it.. :)

Issue with the eCab is it's proprietary parts. It doesn't use 510 or 808 threading, so you have to buy eCab atomizers and tanks.

Atomizers are 5 for $20ish, it comes with 3 tanks and extra tanks are $1.25 or so. As a back up or "not shady looking" I would still recommend it. BTW there is a 510 adapter.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your decision to live a healthier lifestyle.

If money is not a problem, get the Provari kit ($211 for the basic version 2) as your home setup. The problem with the mini batteries as I see it is that the battery is not going to last you very long if you vape often. So you'll have to get two mini batteries to get you through the day. And/or get an eGo twist as your backup.

As for the atty's, if you use cartos you'll have to be dripping into it throughout the day as they need to be kept wet so they don't burn the batting inside. You may want to try out a glass tank with boge cartos, I have one and I love it. It holds a lot more liquid so it's less fiddling.

Some people like the vivi nova, I have one that I didn't like at first, but have now learned how to recoil them and it's working much better since I'm using a cotton wick. These have a learning curve to them, but once you play with them, they're a decent atty.

No matter what you get, you'll continue your search to find the perfect setup for yourself personally. That's the fun of this journey.

Each battery is good for approx. 300 recharges. 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping BUT realize if you're chain vaping and/ or vaping at a higher voltage the batts will drain quicker. My Vivi Nova heads are lasting 4+ weeks but I wash and dry burn them every few days. You'd be better to buy 2 or 3 Vivi Novas and a couple packs of extra heads IMO.

So I am going to buy a vivi nova kit, vivi nova mini kit, and some 510 atomizers for dripping/testing liquids. I was thinking of buying 4 of each, does that sound good for a couple months? Not really sure how long these last with heavy use.

Well, on day 3 now. Had a half a cig the last 3 days (70 analogs prevented). Some pretty nasty withdraws (pretty sure I have parkinson's). Tried gotvapes city lights and it was amazing until today when its now bland as ever. Need to start cycling more, but at work atm. Can't wait till tonight. Currently have 1x Ego twist 1k and my 2x Ego twist 650's should arrive tonight.

Will say for anyone looking for it, provapes Camel Lights is similar to camel's taste, but way too smoky for a vape IMO.
