In a van ............down by the river
Just to add a little more fuel to this fire...

If you don't think Vapor Joe gets paid every time you click on one of his deals, you don't really know how the internet works.

Read this...innokin-fasttech-and-vapor-joe

Getting an authentic iTaste SVD Express Kit from fasttech for $37, means the B&M selling it for $80 is making more than a 100% margin.

Most retailers, including grocery stores, are NOT making those kind of margins.

And BTW, you'd think that vape Squad would do their research, his name is Petner...NO "L".

A retailer is not "making" a 100% margin with a 100% markup. That is especially true for B&M stores. Rent, insurance, taxes & fees, inventory & equipment, labor, shipping & packaging and advertising have to be paid for. If they're really good businesspeople, then they might clear 15% after expenses. That assumes they are moving inventory at a sufficient rate to cover expenses. Many don't, especially new startups.

If anyone thinks they can buy inventory from FastTech and sell it retail for less than a 100% markup, please let me know when your Grand Opening is.

For some odd reason, people seem to think that businesses exist to break even. Heaven forbid that they actually make money.

finally read his post " I never started this blog to make friends. I started this blog to save people money". BS, he made his blog to make himself money. every time you click every time he gets vendors on his site, its money in his pocket. when he gets known and people starts to pay for advertisement, money in his pocket. So to say he's all for the people, bs

I am not saying it is right but I do understand WHY this happens and why the manufacturers want the retail prices held up. Without minimum MSRP any company could sell the products at any price. This is good for the consumer but ONLY in the short term. What inevitably happens when this is allowed to continue is that the financially stronger resellers will severely undercut the competition. Prices will fall to or in some cases BELOW Wholesale costs until only a few, or even one of the resellers is left in business. At that point the survivor can jack the prices up to anywhere they want and the price gouging would be bad for the consumer and the manufacturer. As soon as a new reseller opens shop the original survivor can drop prices again to a point that the new competitor cannot sustain and they too are out of business. This is also bad for the manufacturer because they end up with less direct customers and their financial future then becomes directly linked to them. Minimum pricing from the manufacturer helps prevent this from happening.

Thanks for ffinance 101, nice point

Absolutely right. I operate two blogs myself, and both of them have advertising on them. They're sports/football related and during football season, Google sends me a nice check every month. I'm sure I don't get anywhere near the traffic he does, but he's probably pulling down several hundred a month if he's signed up with Adsense.

It's also why I'm self-employed, don't employ anyone other than myself and my beloved CFO, and charge exhorbitant hourly rates to clients who can't do without me and then rape the tax code every April with a bajillion deductions. Don't hate the playa. Hate the game.
