Not home right now, but all I did was take the cap off and line up where the center of my coil was based on where the cap sits. I then drilled the hole. After drilling, I covered the new hole w/ box tape on the inside of the cap, and the same with the old hole on the outside. Spooted a couple drops of epoxy to the inside of the old hole.

The tape outside will create a mold for it to set in, while the tape on the inside will keep the epoxy out of the new hole. Let set overnight, remove outside tape, clean inside to be flush using a small dremel grinding stone.

Ok after having bought TWO RM's, the honeymoon period is officially over. This goes against a lot of stuff I said before , but the airhole is a massive issue IMHO. A dealbreaker. The easiest way to see how much the low air hole affects your vape is to put a regular AGA T-2 cap on the RM if you have one.

With the regular/dildonic/ugly as hell AGA T-2 top on, the RM vapes like a beast. Night and day difference. Could I drill the stock RM top? Yes I could. Will I? NO probably not. Do I think new top caps should be made available to existing owners at a discount? Yeah probably and maybe that has been covered. Because at $70 for the two I bought, I won't invest any more $$$ in upgrading.

I didn't try using the AGA-T cap on my RichMan's RBA until just now when catching up on this thread. My AGA-T cap air intake holes are drilled out to 1.5mm. Wow, what a difference. That explains the juice weeping, the air hole was sitting a hair above the deck and I never noticed. I polished my RichMan's already, so the cap matches perfectly. I just wish AGA-T caps weren't so freakin' ugly.

I'll want a new cap as well, a discount for RichMan's RBA owners would be great. I imagine a lot of people that own AGA-T's will want a flat top cap as well. I would like a couple extra caps myself, AGA-T caps are fugly. As fugly as they are, the tank section looks nice with a painted glass tube which is a waste on the RichMan's RBA.

I'll wait for the hybrid to come out and order all of it together if need be. I just hope you don't run into the same issues as Sigelei when it comes to switches, they are notoriously bad and need modification in almost all cases. The #20 V2 was no different, in my case.

Alright everybody I am no expert on ss mesh RBAs but here's the deal; we all paid $35 for a GREAT RBA. we know it's not gonna be perfect( you get what you pay for). and I got an amazing RBA with one minor flaw( the air hole). I do not regret my purchase and think I got an amazing deal. I am glad that he is making an upgraded top cap( he does not have to do this). my personal opinion is rich is a great guy and great vendor to even consider doing an upgrade. but to ask for a new one for free or even discounted is unnecessary. we all got a great product for a GREAT price and I am more then willing to pay full price for an upgraded cap. it's like purchasing a v1 vamo then saying the spring sucks and asking for a v2 for free.

long story short thank you evolis for listening and upgrading it, I will be paying whatever price you decide is fair for the upgraded top cap because I live your product and think you are an amazing vendor for even considering this.

I have no idea what top caps by themselves should cost, but I know what I'm ready to pay versus doing the necessary modification myself. It's not a deal breaker by any means, the rest of the Richman's RBA's features are great. Just a guess at the price, but I would be more than happy to pay around $10 + shipping for new caps, polished or not. I would love to throw out my AGA-T caps. The AGA-T is old news, it has been replaced with the AGI flat top. The use of separating it's top section to use as a dripper is not ideal, thus the IGO-W flat top. Flat top is the new "it", and a polished flat top cap sold by itself should be a hot item for those that own domed top AGA-T's and RDA's that use the same size caps.

Just my opinion, but the new titanium AGT is not as attractive as your RBA. It's only selling point is the material used. Your RBA looks much better and should stand the test of time over the others. Minus one star out of ten for the airhole issue, it was the first run and I'm still happy with my purchase. Even with that issue, you are a far better designer that the folks at UD.

Find yourself a dozen workers and blow UD out of the water. Their time has come and gone. Good luck sir.

Hey Everyone. Here are some pictures (computer Graphics) of the Hybrid and Drip tips.

The wick hole will be enlarged to at least 3mm or larger. The air hole will be moved up to prevent leakage. The deck will have a small lip to also prevent leakage. The positive post has a more simple single screw design. The positive post including the internals and all battery contacts will be copper with 24k gold plate.

The hybrid will have a 18350 and 18650 tube design. Bottom button with vent holes. Locking bottom button ring. The battery contact are fully adjustable with about 4.5mm of play. You can fill your tank without a screwdriver. So when you run out of juice you don't need to carry a screwdriver around.

I hope you all enjoy. :)

Lol, broke a carbon bit trying to drill a new hole. will try a cobalt step bit next. Anybody have a bit recommendation?

Assume you are talking about air hole in the top cap? I used a 2mm cone diamond bit and a dremel. Took a little while, but it worked.

@Evo: Lookin good man. I love the drip tip and the hex screw on the positive.

Thanks for the update!

Sounds good Richard, Congrats!

I second the suggestion of smaldo above, for a smaller air chamber. Besides, if u could make it 'sectional', i.e. carrying 18500 & 18650 attachment tubes, rather than a full new tube for each, that could bring the costs down and offer a compact package. Also remember, No Springs anywhere in the mod! Not in the bottom cap, not in the positive contact and nowhere in the electrical circuit. Many nice devices have bit the dust with huge voltage drops due to their unnecessary springs.

I'm sure this R/M Hybrid will come out very nice.... gosh, I'm already getting the goose bumps!
