Alright everybody I am no expert on ss mesh RBAs but here's the deal; we all paid $35 for a GREAT rba. we know it's not gonna be perfect( you get what you pay for). and I got an amazing rba with one minor flaw( the air hole). I do not regret my purchase and think I got an amazing deal. I am glad that he is making an upgraded top cap( he does not have to do this). my personal opinion is rich is a great guy and great vendor to even consider doing an upgrade. but to ask for a new one for free or even discounted is unnecessary. we all got a great product for a GREAT price and I am more then willing to pay full price for an upgraded cap. it's like purchasing a v1 vamo then saying the spring sucks and asking for a v2 for free.

long story short thank you evolis for listening and upgrading it, I will be paying whatever price you decide is fair for the upgraded top cap because I live your product and think you are an amazing vendor for even considering this.

100% agree with Joel. I will pay full price for a new cap as well. Rich made this rba very affordable for everyone and we should be thankful.

Some more updates. The hybrid will be able to be fully disassembled. From the positive post to the bottom button.

It seems that the top cap has changed to a smaller air chamber. Not sure how that happened. :vapor:

Pre-orders for Hybrids will start sometime next week. These hybrids will have serial numbers on them. Also working on getting some colored pyrex tanks for RM RBA and Hybrid. I must say it does look cool. Thanks everyone for the interest. :vapor:

Edit: Working on getting about 5-6 different color tanks.

Ok after having bought TWO RM's, the honeymoon period is officially over. This goes against a lot of stuff I said before , but the airhole is a massive issue IMHO. A dealbreaker. The easiest way to see how much the low air hole affects your vape is to put a regular AGA T-2 cap on the RM if you have one.

With the regular/dildonic/ugly as hell AGA T-2 top on, the RM vapes like a beast. Night and day difference. Could I drill the stock RM top? Yes I could. Will I? NO probably not. Do I think new top caps should be made available to existing owners at a discount? Yeah probably and maybe that has been covered. Because at $70 for the two I bought, I won't invest any more $$$ in upgrading.

I will have to try that. I would drill out the hole on my RM atty if I could but I have tried to drill out the holes on my AGA T2's and every time i never can get all the way through. I even went and bought some titanium buts thinking maybe thaat would be better but nope, they just spin and get hot too. Can not seem to get them to go through. What are you guys using to drill out the holes. All I have is a dremel and that does not seem to work. It is a pretty powerful dremel too. 30000 RPM I beleive. I would love to find a way to enlarge them a little.

I just finished wrestling out the press-fit silica post. Was about to set up a dual wick and lost the fill screw down the drain. Gonna be a few days before I can get to the store to fix that.

I don't bother with fill hole screws myself, I can't leave the RBA in it's side anyways. This reminds me...

It would be very nice to have spare parts bags for sale directly from RichMan's store. I have a few I bought somewhere else for AGA-T2's, and all the parts work except they don't have the larger nuts. It's something to consider when the next version comes out.

I've been tempted my many new mech mods coming out lately, but I'm saving my money for the RichMan's hybrid. Any idea if the switch will be magnetic or spring? Also, what type of metal for the contacts? Since I'm on the subject, will the center post be adjustable for different batteries or will there be a spring to compensate? So many mistakes have been made by other mech mod makers up until now, there is so much to learn from.

Is there going to be an option to buy JUST the deck of the new RBA? Also, will it fit the older RBA tank/base/topcap etc.?

I've tried to drill out the wick hole but a Dremel is just not doing any justice.

I really love the way this looks and the quality feel to it. (its almost AS heavy as the provari with 18350 in it alone)

Thanks in advance! Shaka bruh!

@schnarph: i typically never had the screw on the fill hole either, but now that I removed the silica post i need that screw to ground the second wick (and make some airflow mods to the cap. I put it on the back burner til I can get a new screw.

Will be early next week after the holiday before I mess with it.

I've tried to drill out the wick hole but a Dremel is just not doing any justice.

Dremel w/ a diamond bit is great for adding holes to the top cap. You need a good strong drill bit and some oil to open up the wick holes.

Go to the hardware store and get cobalt bits, then put a dab of cooking oil on it before you drill. Keeps it slippery so the bit doesnt bite and snap.

Cheers!
