pick up an Equus 3320 from amazon. $20 and works great even sub-ohm.
I've only had a tank-o-meter for a week now, it's been very useful so far. I realized that even if I build a wick and coil on a device I can test and move said wick and coil over to a hybrid, I still won't be able to test the voltage drop before and after sanding pins, modding, etc.

Thanks for the advice, the Equus is the #1 best seller in Multimeters & Analyzers on Amazon (automotive dept). Even with the 10% DOA and failures within a month, I'll have to take my chances. I just hope the warranty covers it for a while, all the DMM's (other than Flukes) seem to have the same DOA rate or worse.

Assuming it works when it shows up, I can sell the tank-o-meter in a heartbeat. They are pretty hard to find units.

I'm still itchin' for the RM hybrid. Don't make go break my oath and buy another sigelei!

Hmm. I've had mine for a while now w/ no issues. Tank-o-meter is still good to show voltage under load. Much easier than trying to hold pins against the posts while pushing the fire button.
True, but that's what helping hands and alligator clip leads are for. I'm not going to hold on to this tank-o-meter for too long, I don't like screwing things on and off of 510 connections over and over wearing out the threads. That, and I found the parts to make my own tank-o-meter very cheap. It'll be fancy, blue LED display in a blue tank tube. :)

Update on the pre-orders. I promise it is very soon. Sometime next week, I will have a price and pre-orders will begin.

I do not want to release the full pictures yet as I am still finalizing the design. I have been working on two bottom button designs and different finishes.

I like the first one a lot! The brass is nice as well, but I feel it would look better on your polished version.

True about the price, however Rich did post the pics here a page or two back. And as long as the lock-ring is not of the same OD of the body I'm not diggin' it. I like my mods to be uniform around it's entire length. But, that's me... your tastes may vary.
