I've had my xpower900 for 11 days and burnt out 2 atomizers.
At that rate I'll be spending about $50.00 a month just for atomizers.
Those 50 ml bottles look good to me, been working on one of the 50 ml chinese marlboro 24mg and I don't mind the taste.
Only used 1/3 of the bottle in 2 weeks.

Wow. Where did you get your atties? I have atomizers that are almost 3 months old and still kickin'. I've never had an atomizer die, actually.

Are you cleaning them? Are you sure it's not a problem with the battery that's frying atomizers?

I've heard numerous reports of people having attys over 6 months old. There was even a guy that posted in a thread about upgrading to an eGo that he was still using the 2 attys that his original 510 kit came with a year later.

I wonder if it might be the Xpower model? Or maybe he is not using it correctly? It has to be one or the other. I was wondering also, but I didn't use mine long before I switched over to carto's, so wasn't the best to have an atty conversation...

I'm assuming you bought those at LiteCig. If you did, I hope you contacted them for replacements because they have a 14 day warranty on them.

I have spent a total of $ 184 in 8 months for liquids, 510 kit, 3x attys, a riva Ego, and a low resistance Atty * 99 just on 4x bottles of eliquid, eGo, atty and usb car adapter*.. I have and considering for the past month I spend $ 198 on cigarettes and finally found 2x liquids that keep me off of Cigarettes for almost 3x days now, I can keep the cost down to around $ 20 - 30 a month on liquids and attys. So to me, it is worth the amount of money I have spent so far. The people I buy my e-cigarettes from are about an 1.5 hour drive north from where I am and any issues they replace anything I have problems with. So it is a no brainer for me now.

Cheers,
Charlie

On another related note, i read all of Cozziecon's review of the new Joye carto and why some people do not like carto's - taste. I figured that could be the only possible reason.

Perhaps I am just less finicky. I like the simplicity of the carto and still think this is the best solution for newbs because of this. Hard core vapers love to fiddle and try and get "perfection". Most new users want to put and ecig in their mouth and - puff.

Well again, why are you even buying atomizers? I still have not figured out why anyone uses them. Perhaps it is a taste thing or something... I don't get it.

Edit: Plenty of people do use atomizers. I know that. I just have not figured out why unless dripping. I very much doubt i will ever use my atomizer again.

I only use my atomizers for dripping. I don't have a beef with atomizers (mine are still going strong from my original starter kit purchased 7 months ago) but I can't stand cartridges. So it's dripping or cartomizers for me. :)

For those of you wanting to tackle the DIY method, vaping is costing me @ 26-33 cents a day in juice! I'm vaping 2-2.5 ml per day currently.

I bought:
125 ml 60 mg Nic juice from myfreedomsmokes.com- $28
500 ml VG to cut it with from vaporrenu.com- $14
Add in 4 bottles of Cotton Candy 30 ml flavors vaporrenu- $24

$66 bucks spent and I have 500 ml of 15 mg Nic juice and that'll last me 200-250 days!! How cool is that! I know I'll have batteries and attys to replace but at least the juice is dirt cheap if you make it yourself!

I can't seem to figure out how much I would be saving money wise. Where did you guys get those kewl banner counters?

You don't need much of a calculator (but they are cool). Here is the math to get started with EGO kit.

Kit from LiteCig: $55

Initial supplies:
10 Cartomizers: $16
2 10ml bottle of liquid: $8.50
Total cost: $79.50

This will last 2-3 weeks, easily.

Then, to use on a daily basis it is likely $.25 cents (or less) to fill each carto.
Assuming you vape somewhat heavy and use 5 per day that is $1.25 per day in juice.

Assuming you needed 10 cartomizers per month (probably way too high - 5 may be closer, just saying) that is $16 per month.

Therefore, once set up, that is anywhere from $45 to $60 per month using some very rough math as people vape far differently. $60 a month is probably for someone that smoked 1.5 to 2 pads of analogs a day.

Edit: And keep in mind if you DIY or buy bigger bottles you can drop the juice cost down a lot. For instance, you can buy a 50ml at MadVapes for $11. That would drop juice cost down about 40%. So i think it is possible to get the cost to $35 a month - even for pretty heavy usage.

At 1.5 plus pads a day it easily cost me $270 - $300/month. $35 is a bit more to my liking.

Last Edit: I guess the simplest way to look at this is..... You could buy the EGO kit (2 EGO's) AND all of the initial supplies I mentioned EVERY 2 weeks AND still be cheaper than analogs...

I'm gonna do some figuring here based my usage:

I went through about 4 cartons a month of Pall Malls at $50 per carton so figure $200 per month for analogs (thank God I don't do that anymore)

2 eGo 900mah batteries ($22 each) and a ego fast charger is ($8) = $52 for batteries and charger
I use eGo XL Cartomizers that hold approximatly 2ml on the first fill and I add about 1ml every 4-8 hours whenever it starts to get dry. I used to use atomizers and carts but I find that the Cartomizers give better taste and more consistent vapor for long periods of time. I've been using my cartomizer I have on now for 6 days and it is just starting to get to where it's not holding the liquid as well. The atomizer in it is still working flawlessly but I think the batting material is starting to go bad. I used it really really heavily the first 2 days so I am gonna say that on average will probably last 7-10 days with moderate to heavy use 5-6 days with super heavy use. They are about $4 each and to error on the side of using more I will say figure 5 per month. That comes to $20 for cartomizers per month.

I use about 3ml in liquid a day. That would be about 90ml a month. If you buy 3X30ml bottles from FSUSA regular price ($15 per bottle) that is $45 per month for juice. Less if you buy larger bottles or get it on sale and they have sales a lot.

So you will have a one time cost of $52 for batteries and charger, $20 per month for XL cartos, and $45 per month for juice.
I would get some extra juice and cartos just to be sure to have back ups and spend about $150 initially and about $65 per month on a regular month to month basis.
So based on spending only $200 a month on analogs you even the first month would save $50 and after that you would save $135 a month.

Now in reality I spent a lot more and have about 6-7 months worth of juice and a .... load of cartos and attys. But over time considering I don't need to purchase anything for a long time (although I probably will lol) it should roughly come out equal to what I posted above.

$4 each for cartomizers? Maybe I read that wrong. They are $8.00 for 5 at LiteCigUSA...

Either way, you can spend $65/month if you vape heavy. But whether looking at cost or health - you can't win with analogs.

You could buy 100 ml of juice at madvapes for $22 - less than you are spending and more juice- BUT everyone has their fav. juices and it may not be worth saving $25 a month to not get what you like...

I think we are probably talking about different cartomizers I was talking about the eGo XL Cartomizers. It's a big carto same width as an eGo Battery.

Ok. I have not tried those yet, but plan to. Seems like a good idea but perhaps a bit more costly. Where do you buy them? I know LiteCig doesn't carry them yet as I have looked before, which surprises me.

Actually they do carry them I just found them Joye EGO MEGA Blank Cartomizer They are currently on sale for 2.95 each. I bought mine from freedomsmokeusa.

Thanks. Dang it, I thought that was a MEGA for a 510 or something...I didn't realize it was the XL. It says EGO MEGA, i guess i should have known what it was... duh... LOL. $13 for 5... not bad i guess.

Hmm, says they hold 1.8ml. For some reason i thought they held more. Still plenty...
