I just bought this at a clearance price here for $19. I like this mod except my attys won't sit flush on the 510. There's a gap on everything I tried, at least with attys that I have. Do you guys have the same problem? I don't use beauty ring so I might start using one as the solution.

It was from a b&m store over here. They only have orange left so maybe it was difficult for them to clear at normal price for that color.
For $19.00 I would have picked up more than one. My RSA's all gap on mne too the Dead Rabbit,Aequitas,Pulse X, does not matter it gaps.

I didn't really like regulated squonker, my everyday is something with modmaker or moddog 510s but for $19 I couldn't pass it up. Maybe I would buy more if I'm really into regulated squonker.
Yeah I'm thinking of putting beauty ring, it will definitely close that gap.

I've read about the issue, just wondering how wide spread it is.
Apparently a solder connection can get broken if the 510 is pushed down too far.
I have had a 510 break on me on another mod cause I cranked an atty with a little bit long 510 connection down on it. In that case it was a plastic insulator that broke. In any case, if you force something down on a 510 too hard something is gonna have to give in.
Yes, never force it more than necessary.
Some RSQs have an issue where the solder connection may break off the 510, without putting too much force when tightening.
No not me personally but someone on this thread did have that problem,I think .

I almost bought one of these as a back up, was waiting to hear thoughts on it. Now I'm still unsure so I'm going to pass.

Same here.I have 3,1 of which is my main daily carry mod,it has been dropped several times 3-4 feet onto the concrete and has never missed a beat.
At the time the RSQ hit for sale,the Aurora,Anita and VTnbox V3 hit . If I had not picked them up I would have one of each color RSQ and a back up or two.
The RSQ 80w is my Favorite Squonk Mod. And I have used it daily since February with Zero Issues or Problems.
Unlike puffon though, I Don't have 6 of them.
I only have 4. LOL.

I've got three of them. It's a very solid out and about device. My Pulse's have replaced it as my daily carry, but it's a very nice single 18650 mod. Great size, solid, and the chip does a great job.
Dropped one of mine a few times and it hasn't missed a beat. So it's got some finish issues due to the drops, but works as well as it always has.
My only issue is the 510 isn't as deep as some of my other mods. Don't crank an atty down if it doesn't sit flush. Use a different atty, or get some spacers and you'll be fine. I just use a few of my toppers with shorter 510 pins on it.
Mine are all the original release. Not sure if anything changed on the newer ones or not, other than the RigMod branding. I did load the firmware update that allows it to remember the setting for the bottle led.
Oh yeah, I wasn't a real fan of the included bottles, I use the CoilMaster bottles in mine.
wanted to get rsq for very very long times just,pulse, pico sq, sq 2 and so many mod distract me ..... until last month when i lost my favorite pico 2, think of buying this, than i bought another pico, than wanted to buy rsq but bought desire squonk .... hahhahah finally i get it now.
