I think that if you direct-drip mostly; which I do, then the SBL or SLB (dont remember; the one with the 'ring'...) 901 LR is the best choice for 'on the go'. I mean, I do love my bottom-feeder mod (which I can use with many different atties succesfully...So wouldnt need a 'special atty's choice' here...), and plan to get a cool juice-box soon, nevertheless, form-factor makes this a bit uncomfy in certain situtations, where direct-dripping my eGo or similar ends up being 'easier'... And here, IMHO, it is where this 901 SHINES; it is obiously not as good as other LRs out there: a 510 hitting-wise, or a 306 (specially CISCO which is heaven...), but it is a PERFECT CHOICE for even though it is not perfect in many aspects such as other attys, it DOES provide a decent TH; good flavor; the rate of liquid consumption is good; the wicking-properties are very good; it translates into a great performance, consistency-wise; and if you go through its easy and all-natural learning curve, it is unlikely to flood or clogg... It is leaking-likely, but if you keep a nice rythm, the cone of the eGo set up will make this a no-problem...
So, bottom line being: Despite many other atties being 'the stars' out there and beating this atty when it comes to specific details or overall performance, this little atty will STAND TALL, for it is in its GENERAL performance that it makes up for it eventual minor weaknesses... Meaning: It may have some down-sides, but no aspect will be as bad as to dismiss this atty as the ULTIMATE choice for the 'outdoor dripper', so to speak... Because it may be JUST a 7 out of 10 in every aspect and NEVER a 10, but then again NEVER less than a 7, and any other atty out there will get MORE but also LESS points in many aspects if we consider as many as possible, and the 901 here will be a winner.
To illustrate this I may say that for instance, I prefer a 510 (Im all about TH...) but if Im at home...For the little 901 ....... will beat the hell out of the 510 because I will be able to use it outdoor in a more reliable way; the 510, dripping-wise may be a PITA because of its floodings' ways, its "saturation issues" and others which make it MOODY. The 901 LR with the 'ringie-thingy' is the BEST for outdoor-direct dripping coz' it is very dripping-friendly!
(Of course the 306 LR, CISCO specially is THE DRIPPING KING...But Im focusing on something 'convenient' in most possible aspects...)
What do you think?

do you mean the O ring thing? to help with drips out the hole on the side?

Actually the SLB is my favorite atty... either the LR (1.8 Ohm) or the Reg. (2.8 Ohm... i'm looking for a 2.4'ish Ohm).

I use the LR on my Phidias (which i mostly drip with because it is a hard hitting 3.7 pv, and i get some leaks in the box when i bottom feed - " Phid gravity feed").

I use the Reg. SLB 901 for my variable volt Provari (king of PV's)... at about 4.0 volts.

Love the SLB 901's for price, size and weight - they are slim and lightweight... and lovely clean hit and taste.

I could never get used to the 801's... too heavy and bulky and i find they clog too easily (although i have only tried Iken 801).

I am a confirmed dripper... what i have to have is a Pyrex Driptip... and you can also use an Empire Shield which is made for 901's but can be used for 510's if you get the adapter (to prevent leaking and it's a good draw too).

funny, when i used to have my Reo's i would use the hole on the side of the LR 901 to let me know i had just enough juice for a good vape if the juice just peeked out the hole... if no juice peeking, i'd squeeze a little more... if it was dripping out, then i knew it was too much.

i got tired of my bottom feeders, because the drip method was always perfect...

Wow Uke, another person like me that don't do feeders anymore. I still love my dripping and dipping best. I never have a problem w/901's leaking though. Alot of people seem to - could be my choice of attys. Don't know. Have you ever tried cutting off the 801's. I truly did not like them, vapor and taste - awful until I got a mini pipe cutter and took off 1 1/4. They are all smaller now and vape well for the select juices I use on them. Not my atty of choice (you know I'm a LR 306 1.5 fanatic) but from time to time.

I meant the SLB itself; I would call it 'RINGED' because of its ring sorrounding the bridge...

oh i get it... i wonder, does Joye make a 901?

As much as i like the DSE (SLB - i guess because it is Sailebo ?)... i find that they don't last like a 510... i get no more than a couple weeks out of the "reg" 901's.
