Definitely with VG, I don't even think I would top off at all or let it sit around in a rotation of several carts like I do now with the PG cartos. I'd use them up and clean them, and refill when I wanted to use them again and make sure I finish it off that day.

I just rinsed and blew until I think I turned blue. I just put everything to the side that I cleaned except 2 that I am going to use, I've had waaay too many cartos open and laying around here, couldn't keep track of what was what.

Crash, thanks for the kitty compliment. I've never seen markings on a cat like that before, she's a baby, a Persian mix up for adoption with one of the rescues I work with. I was quite amazed when I saw her markings.

Hmmm, my high school History teacher was very proud of the fact that his coffee cup was never washed. Now if he would have known some of the things we did to that coffee cup he might not have bragged so much.....

EWWW TARYN!!!!!!!! lololol

i do notice that the drops from the V4L juices, as opposed to the janty juices i still have, are very different. janty's juices are way thicker, for intance, and release fatter drops. i'm sure it's all relative!

gonna attempt a rinse on this cart, soon. i should really just stockpile empty carts and do this all at once (rinsing, filling) instead of one at a time.

I love reading these posts and learning new things. I'm going to try rinsing out carts again, maybe after 2 top off firsts. How ever rinsing with hot water is going to do nothing to kill any bacterial in your cart. For bacteria to actually die, the hot water would have to be at a temperature above what your skin could tolerate. Most people can tolerate a temperature of 110 degrees for little bits of time, but that's the most we can do. To kill bacteria with hot water alone is not feasible when you are handwashing items. You would have to boil them for at least 5 minutes to kill any bacteria

I have a gas powered water heater and it is turned waay up! I use tongs to hold the cartos and also use PGA. Now I only have washed a couple seeing as how I have just recently started with cartos, from 510 carts, and have not lost one yet. But if I did it would be fine. Now I also go over our doorknobs with clorox. So I am a freak about this sort of thing. Just a clean freak, that's all!!!!!!

I rinse the cartos in the hottest water that comes out of the faucet. I use a timy pair of pliers to hold them. I could never tolerate water that hot if I didn't. 8-o

We've been ok this long because of the PG I'm sure. Now, with VG making its debut in the cartos, I think it is a good idea that we treat those carts a little differently and pay more attention to cleanliness. I will be rinsing with very hot water and letting them dry out completely before I refill them I'll probably put a fan on them so there's some air circulation, that's easy enough to do. I don't want to vape mold or mildew, ew. You'd sure know it if it happened I'm sure. Bleh. I'm allergic to mildew and mold, too. I can't breathe when I am around it, at least I couldn't when I still smoked.
