RIP my first ego

First ego battery, a VV, lasted about a month. I used it non stop for the first couple weeks, sure probably dropped it a few times, and dead it is. I think what killed it in the end was it being banged around in my backpack while biking.

So I'm at a crossroads .. do I get a PV with replaceable batteries or keep going with egos? I can get 1300 mah egos for 5-6 bucks a pop, replacement batteries cost about the same. Pros .. cons? anyone want to sell me on the idea? I don't care about size since I usually use 808 cigalikes now, and just need something bigger for a backup/sharing with others.

After my first Ego purchase about 3 years ago, I purchased a Super t P-18, and then a P-10, then two Puresmoker Icons off the classifieds, and recently a Super t Simplicity. I've dropped them all and still have had no problem with any of them, they just "work". My bias is toward mechanical apv's because there is virtually nothing that can fail. Paired with a lr carto they provide a consistent, reliable vape.

Basically, I have 2 ego-twists. I love them, they've served me well, been using both , heavily, and daily for over 3 months now. BOTH are on the verge of needing to be replaced....as they are both coming apart from pocket wear and dropping a few times.

I don't have much money to spend on upgrading, so whatever I DO get, needs to be under $60, preferrably around $50. I WAS thinking about getting 2 more ego-twists.....but for the money I'd spend on 2 more ego twists....I can just get a vamo or somethin else that will probably last longer.

Last week I lost my first ever e-cig - a kr808. Much as I tried to revive it, I'm happy to say it died peacefully and has been stripped of coatings so it can be forever enshrined somewhere around here.

It was new, to me, at the end of June of 2012. Now it's gone, but never forgotten ;-)

Go with another ego. Actually get two, one as a backup. Seriously, why spend more. You're happy with it and it sounds like you're hard on your batteries (I've only been vaping about three months but I've yet to have an ego battery go bad). So why spend more money on something you'll probably break eventually anyway?

Apv with rechargeable batteries is the way to go. They last longer and are cheaper in the long run. I have about 10+ of the ego/kgo types for backups and haven't lost one yet. I agree on the vamo the kit from FT for 50.00 can't be beat but I like the looks of the V2 with a wrap better.

With the totally removable battery tube, removable top ring and new OLED screen... I couldn't say no. the swirls don't bother me at all. People say it looks like a 'feminine device' but heck almost all tube mods do

Already have a small backup, went ahead and bought two more 1100 Mahs. Honestly my vaping upkeep is already taking up a bit of time. I feel like some sort of mod would take over my life.

You can get 5 Twists from FastTech for about $60 if you don't mind them being clones and waiting a couple of weeks for shipping.

You can get a couple of 18650s at FastTech for $10. A Vamo will be about $30. I went that rout. and the batteries are 2250mah for longevity. You can get a whole kit with good batteries and charger for a little over $50.

Bummer. You know they don't last forever, but it still sucks. If you want something you swap batteries out of, maybe go sturdy. Spending lots of time doing outdoor activities can be hard on equipment. Something that can handle abuse, and keep working would probably be a good idea. There's a site I found it's a data base for mods. My pc is down, otherwise I'd post a link. There are tons of mods out there in all types of price ranges.

I would recommend a vamo but as mine broke in 2 weeks I would have rather gotten 2 more 1100mah ego twists.. For all the money I spent on egos and vamo I wish I would have just bought a REO or provari

I keep a mini ego around and pair it with a mt3 when I go out. Otherwise I use my vamo2.

The innokin mvp would a great choice for you if you can hack a box because, for $45 or so you get a solid mod that comes with a great internal battery (no need for batteries and chargers.) Add a few back up egos of your liking to your order and you'll be well within budget.

buying replaceable batteries is cheaper in the long run than re-buying ego batts.
