2 Riva batts dead here too, 20 days new....used LR510 atty on one, it went caput...thought that was wierd, then put the atty on the other one and caput number 2...so, 2 dead batts and a tossed atty, no chance I'm trying that one on a 3rd batt, lol! Good thing is that the batts have a 3 month warranty and the vendor is sending them out even before I send mine back...great customer service :).

No never used an LR atty with them. And no, nothing is fishy, this is the same thing that happened with the Rivas I had before which the vendor replaced a few weeks ago. I contacted him, and hes aware of problems with these batteries. Hopefully it wont happen to you. A member here will be receiving my batteries soon and hopefully he can shed some light on this matter.

Any word on the autopsy results yet. I have a couple of Rivas, but so far no problems with the batterys after about a month of use.

Yeah, he got in touch with me the other day. says the threads on it were corroded and must have caused a short circuit. I still think its really odd though that they both went within hours of each other. And I have had no problems with any of my eGos which Ive had for over 3 months. Moral is...keep your threads really clean on the Riva i guess.

Same problem here too. 26 days rotating 2 Riva batteries. Very good performance and then the dreaded..... plug into charger....green light...won't accept a charge.
I do not use low resistance atty's....always clean the threads before and after attachment to the charger...cleaned threads on charger.
I was excited to have these last for at least 200-300 charges and it's a bummer to have them sputter out after 20ish charges.
Any chance the chargers are faulty?....AC adapter and USB charger?

I suppose anything is possible, but it seems to me that the problem is with the Riva batts themselves...common denominator in a lot of dead Riva batt posts. I wondered if mine failed because of the LR atty I was using, but you weren't using LR attys and my chargers are charging my eGos just fine. I too clean the connectors/threads meticulously with a q-tip before charging. I have read a couple of other posts where both batts fail within hours of each other and in less than a month....probably bad batch of batts. Still, I like the Riva and as long as the company I purchase them from in the future has a good warranty, I will continue to purchase them.

I thought I might try Riva because I've had bad luck with eGo and Tornado batteries - seems like a bad idea now. I use only use LR atties and I've fried a number of eGo and Tornado batteries. Junky electronics IMHO. I've autopsied several of my eGo and Tornado batteries and the circuit board is always burnt in the same spot.
