For that matter, how does the RM2 behave when it's screwed onto a non-Reo ( ) 510? Still the same problem?

Can we haz pics of both the 510 and the threads on the RM2 to see what's going on?

Whichever is stripped should show brass as both the 510 and the rm2 are chromed brass threads.

How many turns will the RM2 go before it stops? From first grab to stopping. This might tell you if the center post is up too high. With a standard Grand I am getting 5 whole rotations before it becomes a little tight.

I'm always throwing it on the ground to prove a point, leaving me Reo-less for long periods of time, sometimes up to 6 or 7 seconds. It's customizable, so I'm left wondering which door I want to mix and match with which Reo every day. The repairs are easy and affordable, so I'm unable to just let it gather dust on the shelf like my friends' old mods. I freakin' hate it. #reoproblems

Yes, a Reo Grand is tough. It can withstand most accidental drops (even motor vehicle speeds at 60mph), but throwing it down just to prove a point?? Umm, sounds like a crime to me.

The crime here is the premeditation involved when I ask if they'd be willing to try that with their tube mods. Ah, how I long for the day when some poor fool answers yes....

Here's a vid on the new connector. Note that since I made these Rob went and made them Reverse Threaded. I got all mine retrofit to the reverse threaded one (except one that for the atty perfectly when it was screwed all the way in. Here - check it out. Rob makes all of em reverse threaded now
