Yup - same base and posts in both versions. 'The air hole in the single coil version cap is larger than either of the two holes in the dual version (not by a lot). Also, the o-rings with the dual version are a little larger and so the cap seats more tightly. Not a big deal, but some have found the cap to be easier to accidentally move with the single coil version.

As a long lung hitter I enlarged the single hole in my RM3 single cap just a little to 1/16", but need to open it up to about 5/64". When the RM3 dual gets here I'm sure that I'll enlarge both holes in it as well to at least 3/64", maybe more. Even the 7/64" in the first VA Cyclone I got is not too airy for my long hits, so I'll probably enlarge the hole in the second Cyclone I just got as well - maybe try it at 5/64" first since that works well for me in my RM2's.

I hope to find out one day, but I just can't imagine anything being any better than my rm2. I love to look though.

I hate to admit this, but sometimes I go to reosmod just to look at everything. I find it more calming than Xanax most of the time.

Good luck to you, but if it is on Rob's website. . . I know already that it is awesome.

I found the dual holes a little tight, and opened them slightly. Cobalt is all I have to say about that. I used a cheap harbor freight bit and case hardened the hole! It really cranks out both flavor and vapor. Very close to my favorite build on the rm2. I was pleasantly surprised that the cap has not come off in pocket carry. File the bottoms of the screws, they are Archimedean wire cutters if you don't.

I have never owned an RM2 because of the whole brass thing, but I have went through just about every atty that is under 15mm on my grands and have now ventured into the 22mm atty's and it seems there is no looking back. I really enjoy the AFC slots a lot of atty's are made with now. As to flavor loss in going to a larger atty, I have experience none at all. The flavor is the same in my Odin's as was the Cyclone, Reactor, Era, Hornet, Divo, Igo's, and everything else I have put on them. I think the whole flavor loss is in the liquid mixture itself... I am awaiting a Mephisto and have a Competition doge in route to Chowderhead to be modded to BF. I think the drip tip ID for the Doge is bigger than a Divo atty... Should be interesting... I have also just ordered a Nuppin' from pdib to give the ole college try to... Atty's have been my downfall, but thank god for the classifieds to sell the used and try something new... You need to take a chance and venture out someday... You never know until you try something new... I do think its interesting that a lot of folks that have ventured found their way back to the RM2. If it was an all SS atty, i'm sure I would own one...

I have 4 RM2s and sadly, never got along with any of them. I've tried everything, varying coil placement, wire, wick, resistance but just can't relate to everyone saying how good they are. Different people, different preferences I guess. On the bright side, there are so many BF attys today we're spoilt for choice. So glad I never sold my REOs, they're all I use now. Feel kinda guilty all my tube mods are collecting dust. Oh well, maybe I need a Silver Vein Grand to cheer me up....
