Yeah that's what they always say ... the flu shot is worthless and half the time makes ya sick.

i've never gotten sick after a shot, and this be the first time I've been hit with it in a long time lol....the newspaper here has been saying there is 2 strains going around, and the unexpected one that the shot wasn't for, is putting peeps in the hospital lol....this one has knocked me for a week so far :p

I give the flu shots every year for clinics. So come stand in line and bend over  It's an inactivated virus so it cannot give you the flu. It is a dead virus so it is virtually impossible to get the flu from the shot. Rarely people will have a slight reaction for a couple days due to the antibodies and immune system kicking in (or they are just plain old wimps!). It takes two weeks for your body to build enough antibodies to protect you from the flu. So if you came in contact with the flu just before or within two weeks after receiving the vaccine you will get the flu. This happens frequently and then people blame it on the vaccine. Also the DCD chooses only three viral strains that they think will be most prevalent for the current season to be used in the vaccine. If you come in contact with a different strain than you are SOL. Also the vaccine is only around 70% effective. You may still get it but your symptoms and the time you are sick will be reduced. End of class! :)

Rumors of my demise have been blown of out proportion. I have been working my tail off. In addition to training two new guys I have taken on more responsibility at work. I also have become involved with a very nice lady who puts up with me.

okay... now i can say it...."Justin has a girlfriend!!!"

my God.... i hate keeping secrets...

Well I knew I would hear something like this from you ... cause your in the medical field . But I still believe Americans are over vaccinated and over medicated. :) But that's ok we are all entitled to our options .
