Hey guys... anyone have a hand (or otherwise) pump that could get enough air in a car tire to limp it 1/2 mile to the gas station to fill up proper? I just tried to go to the post office and found a 1/2 flat tire. The 15 feet I drove it in the driveway didn't hurt it but I don't want to risk taking it all the way down the street. We have snow tires on rims to put on it but don't have a jack to do that easily ourselves.

/sigh

Sorry....a little late. I only pop on here early in the AM on weekdays. But I was at work anyway and Mo was probably sleeping. If you guys want to swap your tires you're welcome to come over and use my tools. I know it's such a looooooong drive and all.

Nope, I'm concerned about a mechanic refusing to fix the tire if we've used fix-a-flat, it's only about 6 months old. And would have to go get that anyway, may as well get a bicycle pump at home depot if we already are gonna walk down to the plaza. We've been sleeping during the day, no daytime work schedule for Timmy means we've reverted to our natural nocturnal state.

Mechanics won't refuse a Fix-A-Flat/Tire Slime/Similar Product tire. That's 20+ year old puncture sealer stuff from way back in the day from like one company. Modern stuff is not an issue. And if a mechanic today says that crap then you don't want them working on any of your vehicles. They're a bit out of touch with reality. BTW....I was a certified mechanic back then. And forget the bicycle pump. You'll lose an arm trying to pump a car tire up with that. I know....I've done it for shts n giggles. Home Depot has a tire pump kit for like $20 on sale right now. Something everyone should have anyway. If you want, give me your address and I'll bring a pump so you don't have to walk. I'm usually home from work around 4:30.
