I've probably wrapped 1000 ceramic wicks (so far). Only broke about 5 maybe out of that. Don't fear the ceramic!

I'm not really a fan of the ceramic wicks, My Pchela came pre-wicked/coiled with one. Maybe I need to tinker around a little more and that will change my mind. I really love silica wicks, except mine end up coming out looking like a frayed shoe-string on a 3rd grader's sneaker.

I liked the wick, but I didn't care for the time it took to heat up. The flavor through it was kind of muted too. Don't worry, I ran at least 20 ml of juice through it, so I did give it a chance.

On the Z Attys we changed from 6 wraps to 4 when we switched to ceramic. Did you try reducing the coil to heat the wire faster?
