What purpose would calling him out serve? Other than embarrassing everyone and creating a lot of tension, it would not do a thing for you. I mean yes, you might show that you are smart, you might just make a few people you care about think you're a douche.

We have friends in common so it bothers me that he's bragging he got a $200 mod and I'm gonna have to play along with him so he doesn't look like a fool.
