Another thing. When you are priming the coil, are you dripping the juice directly down the center of the coil? Or down the side of the coil with the coil slightly tilted? If you are dripping it directly down the center, it could be going down through the coil and out the bottom of the coil into the airflow control without soaking into the cotton.

Each of the coils should have a clear o-ring near the threads (see the picture below, red arrow is pointing towards the o-ring). Make sure that the o-ring is there.

If you look at the picture above, the recommended wattage for the 0.6 ohm coil is 30-75 watts (on the left) and the 0.2 ohm coil is 50-100 watts (on the right). Therefore if you're using the 0.2 ohm coil, you should probably start off using it around 40-45 watts.
Excellent! I couldn't see that upper o-ring in the photos I was looking at. You looking Prityinsid? That's where it's leaking...

Good point but I will bet the o ring is intact and she is simply leaking through the center chimney of the coil due to lack of full vaporization....We shall see....hopefully!

It is spitting like little pops of hot juice, leaking out of the air holes and also between the coil and o-ring down under the coil.
It is gurgling/flooding like sucking bubbles through a pool of liquid upon inhale.

But does none of this with the other coil...?
The juice popping is a sign that your power is too low. The first time I ever tried the Subtank Mini, I was using it at 9-10 watts (because the vape was too warm for me) and it popped every single time I pressed the fire button. Once I upped the power past 15 watts, the popping went away and got the distinctive sizzle of vaporizing juice. The gurgling/flooding is also a sign of the power being set too low. The juice is wicking faster than you are vaporizing it.

Hi and welcome to the board. If your first coil now tastes bad, it is, and needs to be replaced. As for the leaking/flooding issues, I don't yet understand. You say "leaking." Is it leaking out the air holes in the airflow base? "Flooding?" Is it spitting juice in your mouth? 100% VG juice can be hard to wick, some of your problems may stem from there. Tell me more and we'll see if we can work through this.
She mentioned that the juice was 100VG but it was also being diluted with water. Water is much less thick than even PG, so even if you have a small percentage of water in the juice, it will be pretty thin. I have a juice that is 90VG, but I am almost certain that the manufacturer also uses water in it to thin out the juice. This 90VG juice has the same consistency of 60VG/40PG juice that I have.

Probably, or else the coil is just a bum coil. This is a good lesson to illustrate that you should always have spare coils on hand. I've got 4 Subtank Minis and 5 Atlantis1/Atlantis2/Triton tanks on hand right now and I have about 40 spare Subtank coils and 70 spare Atlantis/Triton coils on hand.

That would not surprise me in the least. I have had more DOA coils that came with a tank then ever from individual purchases...Assuming this coil she has is the first.

Talk about spares....I do have several hundred CE4 and 5's on hand if any one needs them....!

I also still have the iSub G (with two package of coils) and the eGo One Mega tank that came with my Evic-VT. They're down in the minors and won't get called up unless all of the first and second stringers go on the disabled list.

when installing new coils, it is advised to not to tighten them up beyond "just snug". If you tighten them too much, it deforms the Oring and causes leaking issues... as far as spitting and popping... that is normal. If you dont care for that action, turn down the watts/volts to an acceptable point.

My extra coil DOES NOT HAVE THAT O-RING!!!!
I am not putting the juice in the coil but tipping it and filling the tank. However, I am priming the new coils before use. The Velvet Cloud Vapor liquid is nearly as thin as my 30/70 juice mafia I used until the VCV arrived.

I have researched for months. I understand how it works and realize I opted for a non-beginner setup and a trickier liquid type. However, I didn't want to limit myself to something I knew I wouldn't be happy with. I really appreciate everyone willing to help me troubleshoot! I hope to be able to do the same for someone else one day.

Awesome that you were able to figure it out. Just swap out the o-ring from your old coil and you'll be good to go then and your problems should go away. If the replacement coil was put into a recess in the foam packaging for your tank, it might have gotten pulled off when you took the coil out. You could also check inside your tank packaging to see if it is in there.
