I think the most fearful factor of ecigarettes is that Propylene Glycol is a compound used in antifreeze. But the FDA has approved it as generally safe as a food additive, and it's used in various drugs to deliver medication like asthma inhalers.
Well, the thing that antifreeze is most known for is
Ethylene Glycol. That's the stuff that poisons.
Then there's
Polyethylene Glycol, which is a much bigger molecule, and is used in some types of laxative which doctors give the patient to take (yes, orally), the day before a colonoscopy.
Propylene glycol, the stuff used here is also a bigger molecule than EG, so nothing to worry about. (...and besides, there's always 100% VG-based juices for those who prefer that.)
If anyone wants to look it up, there are glycols and alcohols (but also plastics resins [polymers - chains of many identical molecules] like poly
ethylene and poly
propylene) of many of those hydrocarbon gasses (Ethane, Methane, Propane, Butane) and they are all quite different in their uses.

P.S. Oh, and before i forget, i did see a
car "
vaping" a little over two months ago, when i was driving home late in the evening. At first i thought the guy was burning oil and would know what to do, but the person just kept driving down the (fairly busy) street, until the light turned yellow, which is when i opened my window to smell the plume that was sort of reaching me a little.
It smelled like water and tasted slightly sweet (not sure why i took a breath with my mouth), so i immediately knew it was the radiator aerosoling its contents.
I stopped and decided to ask, and was like "do you need any help?" and realized that the driver was a blonde highschool girl, with her sister(?) there too.. and she says "no, we're fine, the car just died"....
